HR oil catch can help
Hey guys,
i have the passenger side catch can routed properly but after reading the DIY threads i cant seem to find one that explains how to route the drivers side and if it should be routed to another catch can or maybe routed back to the passenger catch can via a T splitter fitting. I thought i read someone saying that they just disconnected the other end of the driverside pcv and put a breather filter on it but wasn't sure if that was the best option.
any advice would be appreciated.

I am in the same boat as the OP and was wondering how others have hooked up their catch can on the VQ35HR? In the diagram below:

The PCV Valve(D) connects directly to the intake manifold collector(C) as shown by the tube that goes from D to C. When installing a catch can the PCV Valve(D) connects to the inlet of the catch can but where does the outlet from the catch can go back to? Is this supposed to go back to the intake manifold collector?

Ok... old, old thread, but for the sake of posterity, I believe you tap it into the plenum nipple just behind the driver's side throttle body. You'll need to come up with an adapter to splice it into the existing line. I saw a catch can video a while back on YouTube where someone did this using A/N fittings (looked nice), but it was for a Rev-up, which is pretty notorious for oil consumption.

IMO, I wouldn't route it back to the IM. You would cap that rear nipple (IM) completely and not have any returning line back in the manifold. That line would connect to the catch can. I've recently replaced both upper and lower manifolds with a ported version and I would hate to have more oil and carbon build in in there.
OP, the latest catch can I've seen now comes with two cans. One for the passenger and one for the driver. If you only have one, I would T-split them into the 1 can.
