putting VR wouldnt be a benefit to the Z because NA the VR isnt spectacular its with the turbos and tune that really plus the drive train system thats amazing. looking at the design of the VR clearly the motor was tailored for boost and not for NA performance down to its pistons.

I guess this is the reason GTRS motors are hand built are not cross platform and are not in the skyline series in na form in japan. The reg g37s or skylines do not share the motors this time around. Very nice it makes the GTR all that more special in my view.

The number of posts a person has is not indicative of the quality of their posts or ability to contribute to the community. I'm not talking about TunerTrifecta specifically. A lot of people have boosted their count with "+1," "FAIL!," and other short posts that don't really add to the conversation beyond a one line trolling insult. I've told you this before.

As for "ITD history," I cannot help but laugh at that. Anyone can go through my posts or anyone else's and find where those few that can't stand me got their start, save for Greg06 I think. He just couldn't stand hearing what I have to say and I don't remember running into that guy at any point, so any insult coming from him makes no sense to me and why I really don't care what he has to say.

For Solo, and a simple example check here:
https://my350z.com/forum/2009-370z/328329-edmunds-com-370z-dedicated-review-space.html#post4990717
Here, back in January of I put forth a post for debate regarding various perspectives and why it would make sense for an 09 Z before it was even widely believed. His response:

My response to Solo was very civil and returned by further animosity on his part. There's a history lesson for you.

Just got this in an email (thanks again bud)...Just too funny and pretty accurate (bold text highlights) not to share...

The Contrarian Troll. A sophisticated breed, Contrarian Trolls frequent
boards whose predominant opinions are contrary to their own
. A forum
dominated by those who support firearms and knife rights, for example,
will invariably be visited by Contrarian Trolls espousing their beliefs
in the benefits of gun control. It is important to distinguish between
dissenters and actual Contrarian Trolls, however; the Contrarian is not
categorized as a troll because of his or her dissenting opinions, but
due to the manner in which he or she behaves:

– Contrarian Warning Sign Number One: The most important indicator of a
poster's Contrarian Troll status is his constant use of subtle and
not-so-subtle insults
, a technique intended to make people angry.
Contrarians will resist the urge to be insulting at first, but as their
post count increases, they become more and more abusive of those with
whom they disagree. Most often they initiate the insults in the course
of what has been a civil
, if heated, debate to that point.

– Contrarian Warning Sign Number Two: Constant references to the forum
membership as monolithic. "You guys are all just [descriptor]." "You're
a lynch mob." "You all just want to ridicule anyone who disagrees with
you."

– Contrarian Warning Sign Number Three: Intellectual dishonesty. This
is only a mild indicator that is not limited to trolls, but Contrarians
display it to a high degree. They will lie about things they've said,
pull posts out of context in a manner that changes their meanings
significantly, and generally ignore any points for which they have no
ready answers
.

– Contrarian Warning Sign Number Four: Accusing the accusers. When
confronted with their trolling, trolls immediately respond that it is
the accusers who are trolls
Often the
Contrarian will single out his most vocal opponent and claim that while
he can respect his other opponents, this one in particular is beneath
his notice.

– Contrarian Warning Sign Number Five: Attempts to condescend. Pursued
by Troll Bashers (see Natural Predators below), the Contrarian will
seek refuge in condescending remarks that repeatedly scorn his or her
critics as beneath notice – all the while continuing to respond to them.

– Contrarian Warning Sign Number Six: One distinctive mark of
Contrarian Trolls is that every thread in which they dissent quickly
devolves into a debate about who is trolling whom
. In the course of
such a debate the Contrarian will display many of the other Warning
Signs mentioned above.

All auto manufacturers "escalate" their features, so they can attract potential
buyers whith each new model (more horsepower, &/or better looks, &/or more
torque, &/or better gear, &/or better MPG, &/or a longer warranty period, etc.). My 'O4 Touring Coupe keeps this old-timer ecstatic, elated, over-
joyed, thrilled, jubilant, & on cloud niner! NOT getting rid of it for a LONG,
LONG time, so help me God!!!

I hear what you saying... And happy that you feel that way toward your ride

But Its not only the Auto makers..Customers (even more so imo) are the ones who cry for newer styling, ever higher HP/TQ, more creature features (options), better MPG and better warranty or service. Tho they dont want to pay for it Its all just a spinning wheel, they make em, people buy em..

Cant stop evolution.....Im more upset on how fast WS HDTV's change and DVD's to bluray etc.. change

I don't give a damn what his history is, nor yours. The constant bashing on this forum from what I've seen, is ludicrous. Honestly, this board seems like nothing more than a place for people to bash on each other...

Post count is rediculous. Honestly, I like forums better when you can't even see the post count, because then people can't judge you based on it. For example, go back to my Supramania days, the most intelligent member on that board, had only about 3000 posts, and had been there for MANY MANY years. He reserved his posts to only responding when he felt he could contribute to the boards.

I say one phrase that Greg doesn't like and he crawls up my *** with a spoon, uhh sorry but that doesn't fly with me. FWIW, Greg can **** off, and so can you Solo.

Just to bring this thread back on topic . . .

I will throw this out there.
Being the president of the Middle Tennessee Z Club, and having a great relationship with NNA . . . All the people involved in the "Z project" still refuse to call it the 370Z. When asked about the power plant, all that is said is you will be surprised.

Surprised in that its not going to be the 3.7 or surprised that it will be, and everyone's predictions were correct. LOL One thing is for sure. They love mind games.

Hard to create any kind of speculation when the ***-badge reads the following:

And the nissan service manual lists the new z as the 370z.
