Default HELP with pad install!!

just installed hawk hps pads on the fronts...With the the car jacked up so the tires can spin freely, when i spin the tire it seems like the pad is on the rotor. the tire will spin but you can hear a slight even scraping noise. Im getting paranoid because i dont remember the stocks doing that when i was taking the wheel off. is this normal?

That's normal. It will free up once you drive it. Go drive it, put it back up, and check it. It'll spin free.

Yeah the piston in the caliper is probably just out a little more than it is after normal driving.

What is your reasoning behind this one? You sound like a dealership.
