Default 2005 Touring Coupe Tire Pressure

When I checked the tire pressure on my newly purchase 350Z the morning after I drove it home, it was 50 psi in all 4 tires! The computer readout had shown 35psi. I then lowered the pressure to about 32 psi in each tire. When I started driving, the computer also showed 32 psi. The small road irregularities were also less noticable. Even though the recommended pressure is 35 psi, I wonder if running at 30 psi would be a problem on the handling or tire wear. I think the ride should be smoother. Anyone played around with the tire pressures?

A couple pounds really won't influence tire wear. Remember too that as you drive and the tires get warm the pressure goes up so if you had just driven it and then taken the readings you would see beloated numbers. Remember to always fill your tires and take pressure readings when the tires are cold. 30 psi would give you a little more grip and probably help handeling, but you probably won't feel a couple pounds.
