Default Protecting aftermarket wheels

Sorry if this has been brought up before but the search utility is crapping out on me.

I'm just curious to know how y'all would recommend protecting new wheels from brake dust and road grime. I'm thinking a few coats of wax prior to installation would help to keep them clean and prevent the chrome from pitting. Barring the use of wax, is there some other product I can put on my wheels to keep them nice and shiny?

Thanks!

2 coats of your preferred car wax will go a long way on your chrome wheels. They will be much easier to clean and will repel dirt and brake dust.

Just make sure to wax the wheels once a month and they'll stay in new shape.
