Hi all,

I was reading all your threads about 19" and 20" wheels, I found them interesting and, above all, I'll tell you: you're very lucky, you live in a country where mounting new wheels on a car is not considered as a murder...
Here in Italy is rather impossible to tune your car as you wish.
However, I'm fighting against them to be able to mount 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 back, as I've seen they are probably the best choice for a better looking car without loosing drive pleasure (and safety). The wheels would be Volk TE37.

I'd like to know how's the ride with these measures and, if possible, could you tell me which are the best offsets for both the front and the back? +22?

Can't really remember the offset. But the ride is better than stock because of the crappy tires they use. I have the Michelin PS2's and they are awesome. You won't be sorry

go for it. Once you upgrade to 19 or 20" wheel, the ride will be a bit more 'bumpy". Better grip since the tire bigger.

My 2 cents, go with the 19", I swear after I put on my 19" Iforge with Dunlop tires my ride improved, why? not sure, but I think it has something to do with sprung or un sprung weight.

the ride doesnt change a whole lot if your changing from the touring or track 18" wheels. if your changing from the 17's then you loose a slight bit of sidewall flex to smooth the ride. i honestly didnt notice much of a change between my factory 18" wheels & my aftermarket 19" wheels. i wouldnt change it for anything, i love them!
as far as offsets go it really depends on the wheel widths. if you are going with the 19x8.5" front & 19x9.5" rear then a 20mm offset front & rear is perfect. almost exactly flush w/o rubbing issues what-so-ever......the tire size you run also has more to do with the rim width than anything. i would recommend 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 for those tire sizes. you can get away with 8" wide front & 9" wide rear, but anything over 8.5" front & 9.5" rear looks a tad stretched, especially in the front. BUT those sizes can help eliminate potential fender scrubbing if you opt for 9.5" front & 10.5" rear rim widths....if that is your plan then go with a leaner offset front & rear closer to 28mm to eliminate the need for fender lip rolling..........

plaese take no offense bubble, but the taller the rim the lower the sidewall profile wich results in less traction(unless of course you were going from a regular biased tire to drag radial or non biased drag tire) sidewall height is a big factor in traction......though your circumstances may be different as the tires condition when you purchased your z may have been worn as opposed to a new set of 19" rubber wich will have some traction......sorry to single you out, im a bit of a stickler on traction & handling statements. ive owned numerous high performance cars & like to share what ive learned over the years if i can..........

The ride on my Toyo 245 35 19 and 275 35 19 is alot smoother than my stock 17 shitenzas.

If you want to go 19 and keep the ride smooth go with the Toyo's. Their tires are fairly soft and great grip for street driving.

BTW: Why is it a "crime" to install wheels in Italy? I'm curious, is it looked down upon socially or what?

These guys are dead on with the Toyo experience, they are my last pair of tires. Before the TT i had those and they lasted my 19000mi. But my alignment was out and it wore on the inside to much. I could of got maybe 2000 more mi. but I wanted to try these PS2's and boy am i glad i got them. They are quieter on freeway cruises and grip like a ****. Wet Traction is awesome. I can beat it pretty good in the rain and leave TCS on and have no issues. Can't red line but i can boost pretty good. Good luck.

I'll try to explain, but there are some english terms I don't know..
Simply because here you're not free as you are in the US. If you want to change your wheels in Italy, and your (log-book - driving certificate?) is not updated with the new tire measures, you have to ask the motorization to be able to drive. This can only be made by asking Nissan or whatever to give you a permit.
Than, the motorization will check all to be sure you'll never be able to kill people, bomb cities, fart on the freeway, and so on...
I want to live in the USA.
