Default LE37T with a +12 offset in rear (need pics too)

Hiya,

Well, it has been a while since I have posted around here, but I am definitely still around. I did do a search, but I turned up nothing.

I am shopping for a set of LE37T's and I need to decide on the rear offsets. I am going with 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear. The fronts will be +22 offset. However, I am undecided on the rear offset.

I heard that a 9.5 inch LE37T with a +12 offset will show a little more lip. Is this true? I would love to see some pics if anyone has this setup.

Also, will the +12 rear offset clear my track model Brembos? How about a future BBK upgrade? I know the standard +22 offset will, but I have not heard anything about the +12.

Thanks for the help. I hope to confirm my purchase on Monday, so any quick comments or images would be great.

i just did a search for "te37" and i saw that "john350" had a set for sale a while bakc with a +12 offset...since te and le are pretty much the same wheel except the polished lip, it should give you some idea of what it will look like

I'm in the same position as you at the moment. Trying to decide whether to go for a 10.5 rear +22 because I'm after a bit more "lip", but not to keen on rolling the guards, so would prefer a 9.5. Any luck with the 9.5s on a +12 offset?

there's only 3mm of difference between 10.5 +22 and 9.5 +12.
the 9.5 +12 will be more flashed out.

i think you also have to roll fenders if you go 9.5+12

Roll the fenders and go with a 9.5 +12 in the front and a 10.5 +22 in the rear. This is not mine, but here's a pic of the exact setup on a G.

I agree... Why would it handle any different? I could see if the wheel was sticking out of the wheel well, it would throw the geometry of the steering off but thats not the case. The tire is still in the same spot related to the hub of the wheel. Only the size of the lip is different.

Please explain your reasoning.

Why stop at a +22 in rear.. be the baller and run +12 in rear on the 10.5 as well! Just the way I like it!

cause it will create too much understeer.

The lower offset will not cause understeer. In fact running 2 deg camber up front will help in track use.
