Default Help w/ purchase of wheels/tires.

Hello all... just bought my first 350z last weekend and am now looking to updgrade from the 17 inch stock wheels and tires. I bought a silver 2005 enthusiast.

I have a lot of questions, and hope someone's knowledge will be able to help me out.

1) When changing out my wheels, what exactly is needed to also change out the TPS system (Tire Pressure Reporting) ? Can any regular tire shop swap this out, or am i bound to the local nissan dealership to set this up?

2) Are there only certain wheels that will work with the TPS system?

3) I am considering these wheels tires: Volk-GTC in gunmetal. Any comments or feedback would be appreciated (good or bad). My goal is both looks and performance. I would go with Nismo's, but am not that fond on how they look.

4) The set i am looking at is here: http://www.350zonline.com/store/cust...tid=134&cat=68

Does anyone know of any place that i can get a better deal?

5) Are these tires good? I know nothing about tires..
Front: Toyo T1-S 245/35/19 Tires
Rear: Toyo T1-S 275/35/19 Tires

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

6) Any other suggestions ideas are really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

it's probably better to buy the wheels and tires seperate since you have to get the TPS sensors put on the wheels anyway. if you get the wheel and tire package, you'll have to bring the wheels to a shop so they can remove the tires, mount the sensors, then re-mount the tires onto the wheels. if the shop isn't careful they can damage your wheels. almost any vedor on this forum can get you those wheels and tires.

Toyo T1-S is a pretty good tire, they're lighter then most of the tires out there, and they're great in the rain. 245, 275 sizes are correct for 19x8.5, 9.5 wheels

Hi

1) Depend if you keep your old mag, but if not, you can ask your dealer to do it to be sure you won't have any problem.

4) Look damm good and sexy.

5) T1-S is good but look for the T1-R. They are smoother and they last longer and you have same performance, it's like the new version for 2005. I told you that because I bought those this morning for my 350z roadster. I look around on the web and I think it's a really good tire. Also you have the Pirelli p Zero Nero who looks really good.

Good luck
