Default SSR GT3 offsets

Anybody know what offsets 18x8.5" and 18x10" SSR GT3's come in?

I've seen it asked a number of times here, but I never see anybody post the actual numbers.

TireRack doesn't list the offsets! BTW, why would TireRack not show any wheels for a Touring 6MT but show a few wheels options for an Enthusiast? Shouldn't the wheels fit either? (Yeah, I know the stock wheels are different but shouldn't any wheels that fit Enthusiast also fit Touring 6MT?)

GT3's look pretty sweet on Silverstone:

The only offsets that TireRack offered for my order (GT3's) was 37 fronts and 41 rear. I've already ordered spacers....I just want those wheels. I got them in 19's. It won't show it on the website but if you ask for it they'll order them for you.

Hey can you do me a favor...Can you change the color to Chrome Silver of the pic.

I talked with Grant at TireRack, once I told him I had a Touring 6MT, he wouldn't tell me a damn thing about the wheels. Said they needed to get a Touring 6MT in so they could get measurements off the car.

I can understand that, but hell, all I wanted to know was what rim widths and offsets were even available in 18" and 19" diameter rims. They gotta know that!

Not sure I want to go with spacers but I saw somewhere else, someone had posted wheel spacers could be found at

http://www.wheelspacer.com/

Here's a couple CS pics with the SSR GT3's

I was the one who bought spacers at wheelspacers.com.

Fred at wheelspacers.com is a great guy. Will customa make any thickness you want. I needed 1.05" in front and 1.2 in rear. He did it no problem and the price was great. $65 per spacer and that included lug nuts.

My wheels now sit almost flush with the body. what a difference!

Just curious as to why you needed two different sized spacers? The wheels you got were both the same width in the front and the rear, correct? (19x7.5?)

The wheels I'm looking at are 19x8 fr (38mm) & 19x9 rear (45mm). I figure I'll need an 8mm spacer for the front, and a 2mm spacer for the rear.

BTW....any before and after pics?

Russ I suggest you keep calling till you get someone different. I'm sure they'll all be singing the same song until they do a Touring. I guess the only Z they've done installation on is a Base and Enthusiast. They're really not in a rush it seems and believe me I know it's frustrating. Luckily I have an Enthusiast. My guy was Dexter ext 207 I think. I didn't want the 18's because the Z's wheelwells just swallow them whole. The front wheels are on back order by the way. But I should recieve shipment the week after Thanksgiving. I'll be posting pic of the before and after...I sure they'll be fine. Keep trying...

I wanted both the front and rear to sit just about .2" inside the fender lip. The rear required more spacer to get them out far enough. Now the front and rear are the same.

I have some before pics but no afters yet

the befores are on my site

Im sure they dont want to take liability for the pressure guage. It breaks easily I heard (or gets stuck or someting like that) and who know if all the rims they offer will work.

BTW...why doesnt anywone drool over the GT-C's?

So, basically, the stock setup isn't even then? It's off by .15 inches?

yeah.. the spacers are polished and look great. You have to really look to see them.

and yes.... the difference between front and rear is about .2 inches or so.

I wasn't as worried about the look of spacers as I was about the possible affect on handling.

N74DV,

So the spacers don't cause any handling issues? And no problems with ABS, TCS, VDC, etc? Aren't you one of the guys that went over 150mph too? Did you have the spacers on when you did that?

Man, 1" plus spacers seems huge. Is that a normal sort of spacer size, or is that on the big side?

The GTC's are nice but I prefer the slimmer spokes of the GT3's. I'd love to get HRE 547's but those are double the price!

actually 1" is small.... some drag cars and even jeep runs spacers up to 4". yes 4" !!!

if anything handling is better because the track is widened. Anytime you widen the trak your handling improves. Remember the old Pontiac Grand Am commercials.. "wider is better" ??

VDC and TCS have no clue the spacers are there... no adverse effects.

Spacers are perfectly safe. Just make sure they are torqued down to about 80ft lb

Nah, the original pic is supposed to be Silverstone. (the filename has WV2 in it)

At first I couldn't remember where the heck I got that pic. I've had it for months. Then I remembered it was from the NissanDriven website where you build your Z. (select the color you want and then click the View larger image line just under the car).

I'm not sure how well those images really represent the actual colors. I'll tell ya the Daytona Blue in the jpg isn't anything close to what I saw in person.

Anyway, in case you thought I had nothing better to do, here's a pic with all 8 colors and the SSR GT3's photochopped on each. (I'm not the best at photoshop, but you get the idea).

Man, these wheels do absolutely nothing for me

Maybe they'll look better on an actual car rather than a PS picture?

Starting to get excited. Got the shipping email from Tirerack. Looks like My GT3's were shipped out Thursday night. I didn't think I would get them till after Thanksgiving since they weren't in stock. UPS Tracking says they're in MD already. If I get them tomorrow I'll throw them on and we'll see how it looks on the car.
