WILL PWR - any problems with the 30 series rear? Also, what brand tires are you running? In the pics, they dont look overly stretched...thanks

No real problems with the 30 serious rear, but I havent been really pushing the car with them either. I still prefer 35 series rears. If I remember correctly, the tires are Dunlop Direzza DZ101.

Oh..and here is a teaser pic of my new wheel set up

Selski12,

Do you have a profile view (side pic) of the spring setup you have? I am choosing to either get the H&R springs or the Tanabe GF210.

Thanks!

Default offset question?

I have been following this thread because I too want to go with the 19x9.5, 19x10.5 set up but I was wondering how much the f/r track width matters. Stock is somewhere around 60.4 front, 60.8 rear depending on the model and year but they tend to either be the same or .5 wider in the rear at most. By my calculations you would need the offsets to be like 25 or 22 front and 35 rear to keep the track width proportionate to stock, the result being 62.3 or 62.5 front and 62.9 rear. Wouldn't you think that the track width would affect the cars handling characteristics, like turn-in and understeer? Any thoughts?
So any thoughts or comments regarding offset? I want 265/35 19 front and 285/35 19 rear.

I have +30 in the front with my 19 x 9.5 and the 255/35 are too small IMO. I am going with the 265/35 next time. The only slight rubbing I have is in the back with 285/35. My rear offset is +24. The rubbing is only when the road dips and I am going fast and the car bounces. Right now I am on stock suspension, but I am going to roll my rear fenders and lower with Tein flex.

Gman thanks,
I wonder what it would look like LMGT4 19x9.5 +28 265/35 & 19x10.5 +38 285/35 ?

I ordered 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with a +35mm offset. I got the rims before I had the car or a clue is this setup going to be an issue? I will also be dropping the car with Tanabe NF210. I have not bought tires yet...any suggestions.

mzj24, what rims? I think your setup will be fine.. assuming you get the proper tires.. 245/35/19 F and 275/35/19 R.. With a +35 offset I think you will be a little bit tucked under the fender.. depending on the rim..

Sorry, I didn't weigh them but I think the rims are ~20-21lbs lbs each.. LE37's are really only TE37's with a machined lip and TEs are very lightweight wheels..

Americanmade- the bumper on the Lemans Z is an Esprit Bumper. I believe they're a good JDM company, expensive though. The bumper may be a replica, but it's based of the Esprit bumber.

Take care.
