I agree 295/30/19 is a better option than 295/35/19. Neither size is optimal for matching the OEM diameter, but if I'm going to be off, I would err on the side of smaller circumference than stock, rather than larger. You gain the benefit of altering the effective final drive ratio providing slightly better acceleration using the 295/30/19. 275/30/19 is also another great option for the front

Right, but usually at the expense of the VDC. He's asking for the optimal setup, so i would say a 35 profile is the optimal setup to keep your rears larger than your fronts, and therefore the VDC happy.
As for your statement of the f/d benefit, I totally 150% agree the entire way... which is why i am running 275/30/19's on the rear or my Z.
Not many ppl know that decreasing rear tire size on a rwd will thereby increase your f/d gears to have shorter ratios. I commend you sir, because this option is not often talked about on this forum when choosing tire size, but its the ONLY reason why I chose 30 profile instead of 35.

And it's precisely why i suggested 295/30 vs 295/35. Plus, PS2s come in 295/30, and they're the cat's meow.
And yes, we do have VDC issues with our 305/30/19 - 265/30/19 set-up, but it's worth it.

Its SOOO worth it.
I could'nt believe that when moving from my stock 17"s to a much heavier wheel in 19"s, i actually INCREASED my vehicles acceleration just by choosing to go with 30 profile in the rear!!
It's amazing how much a -3" difference in circumference can make your vehicle so much quicker, even with a much heavier wheel.
tirerack sells 295/35/19 for the bfg kdw2's. amazing tire. got them in 3 days =)
i'd go as much as possible in the rear op.
i still need traction =\
didnt say they were impossible to get but do a search and both and see how many different tires are available in both sizes. its like 4 to 1 295/30 vs 295/35 and i cant stand the kdw-2's, never again will i buy those loud sons of bitches.

Never used them, but it doesnt suprise me that they are loud. I mean the tread almost resembles an all terrain truck tire, like the BFG All Terrains. I have had those on a Tahoe and i know they are loud as hell.
... I think even Nitto makes a mud tire that very much resembles the kdw-2's, only deeper treads, obviously.
^those r special caps that come with Progressive TE & ME wheels only.
Might be able to special order them tho...
That's correct - I've only seen these center caps on a couple Volk wheels. I would contact Adam at Z1 Performance. I purchased these wheels from him in late 2007/early 2008 so he might be able to track down the caps for you now.
