Need some help... OK my z's a daily driver (aluminum silver). Lowering it isn't convenient over all the speedbumps i see. SO now i need rims (chrome?). What's an ideal set up that won't give me problems? I want it to look aggressive! but i need good control (lots of rain here. Anyways after reading i see no one really does 20's (why not?) - and i was thinking of going with 9.5F 245/35 and 10.5R 285/35 +22 all around. I want wide tires in the back staggered looks nice. any suggestions for the best set up on stalk height? thanks!!!

* 20" wheels: Not many people do them because they tend to be very heavy (especially in the 9.5"+ widths you want), and putting a heavy wheel on a performance-oriented car is counter productive. Also because of the OD of the tire that is required to maintain proper functionality of your speedometer, odometer and any other telemetry equipped (e.g. VDC or TCS), versus the 20" rim diamter, the tires you would need to use have a very thin sidewall which makes for an unpleasant ride quality.
* Lowering: Depending on the severity of speed bumps that you encounter, you may be able to do a mild drop and still clear the bumps if you take them slowly. For instance, I am dropped with Hotchkis springs (advertised about 0.5 inches front and 0.75 inches rear drop) and have successfully navigated some 'moderate' bumps. I have gotten caught on a few big ones, but I knew I was taking a chance before I attempted it. The reason I would recommend doing at least a mild drop is that aftermarket wheels, especially with low-profile tires, will probably not look great at stock ride height.
*I personally have 255/35/19 front and 285/35/19 rear tires (Toyo T1R) and have not had any problems driving in the rain. Generally the wider tires you have, the more likely you will be to hydroplane. FYI my wheels are 19x9.5+22 and 19x10.5+22 like you mentioned. You will have to roll / trim rear fenders to fit 285/35/19 on a +22 wheel. You could fit 295's also, but IMO unless you are trying to put down a lot of power the larger tire will just add unnecessary unsprung weight / rotating inertia which ultimately slows you down. Also IMO, 285's are overkill for stock power output. I bought them solely for looks, to fill in some wheel gap. 275's are probably fine, but will look stretched on a 10.5" wide wheel.

CE28n 19x9.5 +22 front, 19x10.5 +22 rear (but for some reason the rears seem more tucked in than my previous LE28n 19x10.5+22....?) 255/35/19 front and 285/35/19 rear Toyo T1R. Thinking about treating myself to a set of 10mm spacers this holiday season for that +12 look.

So I just got some Volk Racing GT-AV 19x9.5 +24 front and 19x10.5 +24 rear. Will I be ok with 245/35/19 front and 285/35/19 rear? Will I need to roll or cut to fit the 285. I want to minimize the space in the wheel well, but I don't want to have to cut or roll. Thanks for the advice. I love the wheels and don't see them around too much.

I really hate to be posting this over again, but I most likely should have put it here to begin with.
I have been trying to figure out if 19x9.5+0 & 19x10.5+0 245F/275R would fit a 350z on stock ride height without having to roll the fenders.
I've heard conflicting answers, ranging from "flat out no", to "with some camber", or that I would have to go with smaller tires.
I have a basic understanding of wheel setups, but not much real life experience with it so any help would be appreciated greatly.
