For everyday driving you probably won't notice any difference but if you start pushing the car you'll probably notice some understeer I'd imagine.

Ebay or buy used, might be some left over stock here or there. RH/Racing Hart/Dazz hasn't been around for some time.

Default Need Help with Tires

Hey guys, I just picked up some varrs 2.2.2, 9.5 and 10.5 +12 all around and I need help with tires. I dont want super meaty but I dont want really stretched either. I was planning on going 245/35 275/35, but then I came across this setup. His is 9.5, 10.5 on 255/275 on BFG KDW, but I dont know the offset.

So, would I be okay clearance wise if I went with the 255/35 275/35? I do plan on lowering the car and rolling fenders. I should be alright, right?

Anyone know whos car this is and what offset the wheels are?

Default Stuck on which tires to get

So I'm completely torn on which tires to get for my ride and I'm curious on what everyone's opinions are and what they've heard about certain tires.. I'm going to be slamming my car and my wheel sizes are 19x9.5 and 19x11. I am going for a 245/275 stretch. I was told it's a bit of a stretch but looks nice. So the tires which I am stuck on getting are as follows:

Nitto Invo - $1060 shipped to my door. These are what I am most interested in so far, and haven't really seen anything else that interests me. But I'm looking to see what else I can get for a little bit cheaper which functions the same.

I'm mainly looking for something which is all-season and high performance.
Other brands I'm looking into are Hankook and Toyo. Please leave some recommendations here, they are greatly appreciated.

Hankook Evo V12 and BFG KDW's seem to be other popular choices within that price range.

+1 on the hankook V12, I have the same sizes. Got the whole set for like 700ish. Discounttires.com has the cheapest tires online.

I like your choice of tire vs. wheel width sizes. With those combos you should get similar amount of stretch (albeit a slight stretch) front and rear. FWIW I recently got a set of Hankook V12 in those exact sizes and so far I like them. Very quiet and pleasant, but feel like they are a bit soft. I would recommend them for daily driving comfort, but probably not for anything performance oriented. The tread pattern is symmetrical so if your alignment makes you prone to comber wear, you can swap tires side-to-side (by swapping them between the wheels).

+1

Good choice for those sizes. Love the way Hankooks look stretched.

Isn't this the 19" thread? Don't know what the other car has but I'm on 285/35/18 Nitto RIIs with no issues.

Hello. I may get roasted for asking yet again, but being up in Canada I'm nervous pulling the pin with shipping and whatnot. I've seen alot of really nice rims in this thread and I'm looking at some cheaper rims for now. I've got an '04 enthusiast that I've had for over 4 years now and managed to keep it through a new home purchase and becoming a parent. I've really had no extra money to throw at it but I got the green light for some 'cheaper' rims/tires now so I'm looking at the:

TSW Nurburgring 19s 8.5F x 9.5R with the 245/275 35 set-up on them. I'm looking at discount tire direct as they'll ship to Canada and I see them in a +20 offset for front and rear. Now I'm fairly certain from reading through this thread and reading the 100 common questions thread that these sizes will work. But my only question is it seems most everyone varies the off-set from front to rear and I'm assuming that this is to give the same amount of flushness to the front and rear. My annoying newb/lurker question is will the +20 front and rear look fairly similar in flushness. I feel that it will from my research but I'd like to hear it 1st hand from some z'd heads.

BTW I really appreciate all the information that is gathered here and that y'all take the time to share.

Sorry if I've PO'd anyone with my redundant question, just I'll be living with my dogs if these things don't show up and look atleast fairly decent(I know there'll be gap because I'm on stock suspension).

Thanks,

Justin

Yeap, but I was just referring to the tire sizes in the picture I posted. I loved how the tire was on his setup, not too meaty, not too stretched. It was a 255/275 setup on 9.5 and 10.5. Only thing is, I am not sure if I want to go with bfg kdw...

Also, will 255/35/19 275/35/19 be alright with the speedometer and tcs? I am just trying to find the right tire and tire size for my 9.5 and 10.5 +12.

Probably one of the more common setups since 2004. You should read through this:

Exclamation Need Help with Tires

Okay, so I went tire shopping today, hankooks v12 were $1800 for the set Canadian robbery at its best...Nitto Neo gens $1400 and they were blowing out BFG KDW's for $1000, so currently leaning towards them. I need tires by this weekend.

So before I buy any tires, will 255/35/19 fit on the front on a 9.5 wheel with +12 offset? Obviously at stock height I should be fine, but what if I lower it? Can anyone with this size (bfg kdw preferably) chime in?
