I have bumped an old thread on the TSW Nurburgrings too that has some nice pics in it of a z fitted up with I'm assuming those sizes/offsets. Size for sure but the pic poster never posted their offsets or tire sizes.
Feeling dazed and confused trying to sort this out and I need tires soon.

However, you can add spacers to push the wheels out but I do not like to buy/add any additional part(s) to the car when you can buy the right fitment wheel the 1st time around and avoid all that.

That's not aggressive enough IMO. The rear is okay but the front is weak, I would look for something else with better fitment.
However, you can add spacers to push the wheels out but I do not like to buy/add any additional part(s) to the car when you can buy the right fitment wheel the 1st time around and avoid all that.

I just purchase a set of wheels and went with 19x9.5 +20 (265/30) & 19x11 +25 (305/30).

Yes. 8.5 isn't wide enough or ideal in my opinion (IMO).
Yes, very conservative but what other people want and what you want could be different so know what you want and go from there 
8.5 front and 9.5 rear with offset of +20/+25 won't be flush, it'll be sunken in. I'm assuming you won't be happy with it but others maybe okay with it so know what you want.
I suggest you do more research and look at more pictures until you thoroughly understand and know what you want.
When buying any mods (cheap or expensive) for my car... no regret is my motto. I spend week(s) on research before buying b/c I do not have the money to buy the same mod(s) twice.

Thanks yah I'm continuing my search. I'm feeling a little frusturated trying to wrap my head around it all. I need new treads before to long here and I toss back and forth between just staying stock, which I don't want to do, but is obviously much simpler and cheaper. I really like the flat black look of rims like the nurburgring, so anyone have any suggestions of rims/sizes to look at it's appreciated. I'm not nescessarily a fan of the no lip styling like the nurburgrings have got. I guess I'll peruse this entire thread again.
One other I'm looking at is the drag dr-37s at 9.5+20 in the back and 8.5+15 in the front with the 245/275 35 tire set-up? I've got alot of looking to do about that rim/company though before I'd consider ordering.
I don't really have to worry about how 'common' a rim is, as Z's themselves aren't even very common around here. I've driven this car for four years on stock 17's with slightly bumped up proxes, I've been super happy with the performance but I'd like to update the look of the car now.
Really appreciate you taking the time, I know you Z-experts must get tired of lurkers like me pestering ya with these questions. I am a z lover through and through though. I don't think I'll ever sell mine.

If you want a flush wheel set up... these numbers are a must, nothing less.
9.5 front
10.5 rear
Offsets are +22 to +12 (nothing higher than 22 and nothing lower than 12)
EDIT: these are my opinion... others may disagree.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum so i apologize if im not in the right place...
Anyway, my 350z is my second car and I've never bought rims before. I don't really understand the rim sizing itself aside from diameter and width (kinda obvious). So i was wondering if a set of 19x10 Rota P45R's would fit on my z?

Q: What wheel sizes and offsets do I need?
A: Generally speaking, there are a LOT of different combinations that people are running on their Z or G.
Let's get the basics out of the way first: You need a lug pattern of 5x114.3, width between 8 and 11 inches, and diameter of 17", 18", 19", or 20".
Here are some of the more popular wheel and tire sizes (for good reason) that people put on their Z's. There is no "RIGHT" answer but there is a limit to how big or small you can go.
18" combination:
Front 18" x 8.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 245/40/18
Rear 18" x 9.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 275/40/18
(lower offset such as +10 in rear is possible but may require rolling)
Front 18" x 9.5" , Offset +25 to +30, Tires 255/40/18
Rear 18" x 10.5" , Offset +28 to +35, Tires 285/40/18 or 295/35/18
(lower offset such as +23 in the rear is possible but may require rolling)
19" combination:
Front 19" x 8.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 245/35/19
Rear 19" x 9.5" , Offset +15 to +25, Tires 275/35/19

Certain combinations of LOW OFFSET and/or WIDE WHEELS will require what is known as "fender rolling" or "fender cutting".
If you are not familiar with the term "fender rolling", here is a quick but useful lesson you can learn in a couple of minutes: Go outside to wherever your Z is parked. Run your fingers along the inside edge of a REAR fender just above your tires. You will feel a sharp edge and a flap of metal sticking inward towards the car. Now, go up to the FRONT fender, and feel the inside of the fender again. You should notice that the flap of metal has been "rolled" upwards on the front fenders. This is exactly what fender rolling is all about. The rear fenders will need to be rolled to make room for wide wheels or low offsets, or else your tires may rub on the metal when you take hard corners or hit bumps. Any experienced wheel/tire shop should know how to roll a fender. If you go to a shop that does not seem like they know what they're doing, get out of there.
