275/40/18 on 18x9.5 +12

edit* my bad, you asking with the 17" front, i haven't seen it before. Why would you run different diameters anyway?

Double stagger set up. Nismo v3 wheels are 18f and 19r

Definitely more common with muscle cars, but it does give the car a slightly different look. One of those things you don't notice when looking at the car, but it does make a difference

I ran the 2010 Redline Time Attack series with that setup. Electronics were happy.

Don't know if fenders of roadsters and different or not but 06 roadster on nismo s-tune suspension. Want to know if either 18x10.5+15 or 18x10.5+22 would fit better without rolling rear fenders. Also will the 18x9.5+15 or 18x9.5+22 be a better fit cause don't want to pull fenders. Tires are 275/40s in rear and 245/40s in front.

9.5 is better

10.5 will need fender work or good amount of camber

Pretty sure you'll need to roll the rears running +15s. I've run over 10 sets of wheels on my car (coupe or ZR have same wheel clearances) and did NOT need to do anything to my fenders until I just put on some 9.5 +15s with 275/40s.

+22 will give you a better chance at avoiding any fender work. All of my other rear wheels ran from 9.5 +19 to 11.0 +25 and up to 295/40

10.5 +22 rear will be close, depending on the tire it may slightly rubor be good.

Following replies to Sunset350ZR's post with interest.

As mentioned in a different thread, have an 08' Roadster and I'm going with 18 x 10.5 +18's paired with 275/40's out-back. I measured & re-measured and while it will be close...I was anticipating "no rub" with this rear setup while on a stock Touring suspension [stock height and alignment specs] with NO roll.

Reading these responses to Sunset is having me second guess my assumption and measurements. My plan is to simply "mount em' up and try em' out" and then roll only if I have to (I do expect/plan to roll later when I go with even a minor drop).

Mic, I noted your comment and the recent experience you've shared in other threads; "[quote]... ...10 sets of wheels on my car...and did NOT need to do anything to my fenders until I just put on some 9.5 +15s with 275/40s." Questions for you please; 1) Want to confirm...you rubbed on 18 x 9.5 +15 with 275/40's, do I have that correct? 2) You are lowered though right? Based on what I've read/researched I would not have considered interference with a 9.5" specifically (I may have just missed something along the way).

Sunset350ZR, piggy-backing here as I'm in a similar circumstance as you excluding the fact you are on s-tune (a bit lower).

Either way I have a guy on standby ready to roll if needed.

You're correct. 9.5 +15mm RPF1s with 275/40 rubbed on bumps. Yes, car is lowered by -19mm give/take. All my other rear wheels have been 19s ranging from 10" wide (LMZ5) with proper Nissan offset of 30 to 10.5 +27 (or so) and 11" +25. NONE had any interference.

MicVelo, Terramask and others who replied i thank you for your help. I have used 10.25 +20 with the 275s on S-tunes with no rolling needed Hopefully I can get by but will roll if necessary. thanks again. Also since nothing was said about the front I assume either should fit just fine?

Mounted and balanced 1/7/17 w/new TPMS. In the coming weeks I'll check fitment out-back, roll rears if needed, then get installed as soon as practical.
  • (F) BBS RIA 9.5 x 18" +22 | Super Sport 255/40
  • (R) BBS RIA 10.5 x 18" +18 | Super Sport 275/40

Will post pics once on the car (Nogaro red Roadster) and at some point, write a detailed review on this setup after I get some 'seat time.'
