If you are doing fender mods and possible camber changes (not recommended unless for pure show-no-go), then widen up the wheels and go to 275/305 combination. But honestly, unless you're tracking, such large tires are a detriment (or at least not optimal performance) for street and even hill duties because they'll never get up to optimal operating temperatures.
Need some advice. I want to replace the stock wheels/tires with an 18x8.5 wheel and 245/40 tire in the front, and 18x9.5 and 275/40 tire in the rear. I have stock brakes and not lowered. My options for offset in the Enkei wheel are 30 and 40 for the front and 45, 38 and 15 for the rear. Which offset should I go with? And, if they need to be moved out some, should I use wheel spacers? Like for example, 38 offset on the rear with 15mm spacer? Thanks in advance!
If you're buying these new, then get wheels with the proper offsets. No to 30 and definitely no to 40 in the front. You likely want/need something with an offset in the +20 range.
What Enkei wheels are you looking at? I'm curious why the rear offset options are 45, 38, and 15.

+45 for Hondas
+38 for Subies, Beeshis
+30 stock fitments for Nissans and Toys
+15 RPF1s With 275/40s will fit rear but may require roll/seal on the guards particularly if lowered. Below 👇
For reference, 18x9.5 +15 squared, 245/275, car dropped 20mm static, alignment at max OE range camber -2.1 degs. After umpteen different sets of wheels (even up to 11s), never had interference until these "skinny" 9.5 +15 and my car hated speed bumps. 🤣
With roll/seal, I have run 10.5 +8 with 275 and 285s.

You could easily do that. I'll just say I'm not a huge fan of spacers BUT..... have used them a lot (probably have had a dozen+half sets of varying widths from 5-20mm) so I can run Z34 offset front wheels and other wheels with not as ideal-for-33 offsets. I would say that they're perfectly fine on street and highways (just pay attention to them ever few thousand miles) but I'd be wary of running them at track events.

Unless you are deadset on RPF1s, there are other wheels available that use the same flow formed construction (comparably light and strong, moderately priced, like Enkei flow formed wheels). Matter of fact, the Enkei MAT process is a derivative of Konig flow formed wheel engineering - one of the pioneer wheel mfgrs to use the construction technique. Subsequently, Enkei, ahem, "borrowed" from Konig and re-marketed as "Enkei MAT" - Most Advanced Technology.
Sidenote: Always like to show my favorite fitment (and post a pic because I kinda miss my Z cars. Laff...But just for comparison's sake.
Enkei/AME 19x10.5 +22 natural fit (no spacers) 285/35-19 Kumho PS91 (great alternative tire to Michelin PSS surprisingly and at lots less $$) I think this was before I rolled/sealed fenders as I ran the RPF1s the same year; so not sure. (Memory isn't what it used to be, haha.)
