Not bad, great setup but i'm highly against solid black wheels. Silver would have looked so much better. Contrast is a good thing.

I'm going the same wheels; being shipped. Same sizes F+R, same offsets, but my tires are a bit wider; 265 F, 285 R.

Everyone has their own opinion..
I would've gone sbc before silver.. its just too blahhh for me.
Everyone knows black wheels photograph like crap, but IMO opinion they look great in person, at thts all that matters to me
I absoluley love black wheels on black cars... The tail lights are enough contrast for me haha

Thanks for helping to "persuade" me haha! I'm sure that I will love my new setup; most rubber I've ever had on the road.

Yup, some do look a lot better in person. SBC would be kick ***, if i put Enkei's on a daily car they will be SBC. In the end, awsome wheels, glad your happy.

Finally can contribute to this thread, Enkei RPF1 18x9.5F 18x10.5R with BFGoodrich g-force Sport COMP-2 tires 255/35/18F 275/35/18R. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, camera was dead. I have Coilovers being installed tomorrow so it will live a short 4x4 life.

Why not start out with the proper tires? With the proper tires you don't have to lower it as much to reduce the gap, that means you will have more suspension travel , better ride, and your suspension geometry will be better. Proper sized tires also fill out the wheel well arch better too.

I'm trying out the 35 for the time being then will try the 40, from researching I couldn't find anything to really sway me to either side so hopefully this will teach me which one would be best. Everyone has there opinions but until you try it out yourself you will never learn.

The goal is to stay as close to OEM tire diameters as possible.

F (Stock): 225/45/18 = 26.0"
F (Yours) 245/35/18 = 24.8"

R (Stock) 245/45/18 = 26.7"
R (Yours) 275/35/18 = 25.6"

255/40/18 = 26.0"
275/40/18 = 26.7"

Hey guys. So I'm finally getting off stock wheels and tires 17x7.5/8 and thinking about some works 11rft 18x9.5+25 and 18x10.5+22 now I'm thinking 255/40 and 275/40. Now I'm currently lowered on some kwv2 and am making 425/426 rwhp/trq. I love playing in mountains and curvy roads. I occasionally autocross and its currently my dd but thats going to change here in 2 months. So i guess I'm asking if these wheels and tires will fit and meet my needs and also what brand of tires. I've looked at like 8 or 9 tires and the all have good and bad reviews but I was trying to find if anyone is in a similar situation that could share their experience with me. Also will i need to purchase any other parts beside just the wheels and tires? Thanks guys

Ps I have read this entire thread. It was long and at some points rough but I'm pretty confident about my knowledge now

Yes they'll fit..
As for tires.. For street/dd Michelin Pilot super sports are amazing
I used to have super sports but they got a little pricey for me so for my last two sets I got Hankook v12s and love them. They aren't all season tires, but they do the job in the rain.. And I'm in SoCal so I don't really deal with any crazy weather. But with both sets I've gone up to the canyon multiple times and both performed awesome..
For track use I see a lot of people run Hankook rs3s.. but i don't have any personal experience with these

When you run 35 series with 18's typically you go up in width and run a 265 front and 285 rear or 275/35 front and 295/35 rear. Thosecombo's are both shorter that stock, but work very well.

^Ruben, I agree with you on the Hankook's. Great street tire for the $$, very popular these days. I always had run Toyo's on my last car and the Z, but got very pricey! My first set of these Hankook v12's are on my 20" wheels I'll be selling soon and they are like new (3K miles)and I'm very impressed with them; my new set will be on my 18" RPF1s (265/35 + 285/35). * still a Toyo fan though too.

Need some recommendations on what size wheel to get. 18" for sure, 8.5/9.5 or 9.5/10.5? Would +15 or +22 be better? Also, what are the best tire sizes for each?

I will be lowered 1" from stock. Thanks in advance!

From top 100 common questions:
Front 18" x 9.5" , Offset +25 to +30, Tires 255/40/18
Rear 18" x 10.5" , Offset +28 to +35, Tires 285/40/18 or 295/35/18
(lower offset such as +23 in the rear is possible but may require rolling)

I'd get +15 though

second the +15. maybe +20. can always get spacers.
not smaller than 9.5/10.5. i like like square setups, so 10.5 all around. 255-275 up front. 265-295 in the back. look for pics of similar setups and decide on the look you want.
