First off, I'm thinking of purchasing a set of Forgestar F14 wheels in 18x9 +20 front and 18x10 +25 rear. In looking at the "Top 100 Questions" thread they make the recommendations:

With these numbers, according to the offset calculator, the largest changes in clearance are -19 mm inside/+24 mm outside for the front and -27 mm inside/+31 mm outside for the rear. My numbers above come out to -3 mm inside/+23 mm outside for the front and -11 mm inside/+27 mm outside in the rear. Can I safely assume that I won't have any rubbing problems on the stock suspension, or if/when I lower it up to an inch?

Another question I have is about tire sizes. Why is the suggestion 245/40 front and 275/40 rear while 255/40 front and 275/40 rear would keep the same outside diameter as stock? Lastly, I was going back and forth between Hankook Ventus V12 K110 and Continental ExtremeContact DW for the tires. I figure that since the Hankooks have increased in price the DW's are a no-brainer, especially since they're about 3 lbs lighter per tire. What do you guys think? My car is a daily driver and I will, hopefully, be doing a few autocross/track days a year. Subsequently, I am not looking for anything extreme or super aggressive. Thank you in advance for any thoughts and suggestions you may have.

Hello, Iv'e been searching for a while and haven't found exactly what iv'e been looking for. I found a 18x9.5 +15 wheel setup that i'm interested in buying but i'm kind of stuck on tires. I'm slightly lowered on GF210's without the spring mount mod. Id like to stick with the same size all around in a 265/35. But i don't want it to look like i have no tire and a bunch of wheel gap.

suggestions? should i stick with a square tire setup?

help appreciated.

EDIT: i will eventually track with these wheels/tires. but mostly it will be daily driven.

Best bet with those rims...I have this...

245/40 Front and 275/40 rear. Maintains stock diameters to stay with VDT specs. BTW... You will have a major gap in the rear. Also the ride will be harsher with 35 profiles.

Sooo new member here (been reading for 2+yrs though).

Currently i'm running the stock sizing of 18x8 on the V1 rims and recently purchased a set of new rims being 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 with a 35mm offset. Where i'm sitting at the moment is the sizing of the tire.

I live in a area where there is quite a bit of potholes, not necessarily bothering me but taking that in context. Was looking for 235/40/18 and 275/35/18 which I was worried about fitment (possibly fender rolling) but recently I've come across a great deal on 245/35/18 & 275/30/18.

I'm just really starting to dig into proper sizing but curious on could this possibly avoid doing a fender roll, and not a significant decrease in wheel walls.

I can't find any pics on the net of examples with same fitments.

Please help me out, thanks!

FYI: Stock height is on the car, and more looking for a "flush" look.

Hi everybody, this is my first post & I need some advice.

I found some rims and tires with only 1500miles on them.
Rims: 18" Konig Hotswaps, offset +45
Tires: all round Nankang Ultrasport NS-2 225/40/18

Will these fit my 2003 stock 350Z base?

*I'm getting these for $450 Friday Morning or Thursday night if you guys say go ahead and get them asap since they are $1200 New (& these are practically new with only 1500)

Stock height those sizes would be fine. You could even squeeze a 285 on the rear if you're going for the fat tire look.

You will not have to roll fenders. The ideal set up would be 245/40 F and 275/40 R..that's what I have on my 9.5" rims (all around). You will get wheel gaps and harsher ride with all the tires you listed... the worst being 245/35 and 275/30 which will be very harsh and leave huge fender gaps.

By this what do you mean? Test fitments are "just" inside of the wheel well, I was more worried about the 35/30's having to less of walls..

Any pics of a Z with that same fitment?
