Default HRE Owners?

So I've just spent an hour grinding a groove in the back of my new HRE 441 because the wholes for the little spaced bolt that holds the rotor on won't line up. Did anybody have this problem with their wheels?

I'm so pissed I paid this much for wheels that don't fit. I have only tried the front right I was too pissed to even see if the others were the same way. I'm hoping but not counting on the others maybe being ok.

I hope you were kidding because that little nut and cylinder for the front comes right off with a little elbow grease and a wrench.

Oh sh!tters I feel like an idiot right now. I never even considered trying to get that off I figured it was there to hold the rotor snug. Pardon me while I go kick myself in the @ss.

I had just assumed that they were like my RSX, Integra, and Volvo wherein the rotor is attached with 2 safety screws. At least I didn't do too much damage. I just finished installing them in my parking lot at 1 in the morning. And man I can't believe how dumb I am. I guess I shouldn't attempt any of this after 2 all nighters for my finals. I must have looked at that screw and thought I should take that off but then I remember how much of a pain those screws where on my other cars. Next time I just have to stop and collect. But I figured I'd rather scuff the back side of a rim before I lost a rotor at speed.

WORST POST EVaR. I can't believe you ground your $4000+ HREs because you didn't have the guts to remove 2 simple bolts or come on MY350Z and post this topic before grinding on such beautiful wheels. Luckily it probably won't matter since no one will ever see it.

Thanks man for kicking me when I'm down. Sheesh. Ok, I did it to one wheel and it wasn't even that much. Where there used to be five perfect holes in the back I now have 4 perfect and one that has a little groove in the bottom that I shot primer on to seal it up just to be on the safe side. Don't think for a second I havn't kicked my own self in the nuts. Live and learn I guess. At least the other three were spared. Thank God I got tired.

All I can say is +2 , OMFGROFFL...... It's just a 12mm socket and you're done.... sorry about your luck. Also thank your lucky stars that you only did it to one, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

honestly, how is a brake rotor going to come off of your car when its stuck between a wheel held on with 5 lugs, and a hub bolted to the frame of the car? Point is, As long as you have your wheel on, you don't even need one screw to hold the brake rotor on.
