michelin is mentioned twice.... my vote went to michelin- but this poll is very vague and begs to ask which critical characteristics of a tire matter most and then you compare them.

john

btw: i feel that unless your Z is for full race (very little public road use) noise is a BIG factor. in the end the louder the tires the more tired/ fatigued the driver and its passengers will become;thus affecting overall performance.

You have the Michelin Pilot Sport on there twice. Were you thinking of AS and Summer?

I voted for the Nitto's because they're the only ones I've had other than stock and I'm very happy with their performance on the street and the track.

I was more concerned with overall judgement; compareing price to performance to durability. One could argue that piot sports are the best but thier the most expensive and im not sure on durability. One could argue that the 555's are cheap and not a good brand tire but they are quite sticky i hear. ect ect ect.. I want a overall best tire poll (its subjective but at the same time will allow people out there to get an idea what tires are good and what tires are bad)

Thats my mistake the second Piot Sport lets assume is Summer and the first is AS ...

I fear this type of poll is just going to measure which tire you purchased. I doubt many people have purchased more than 1 or 2 brands. I suggest people posting and voting list which actualy tires they have purchased so we can understand your referance point. Another issue is why you rated a tire the best. Are you rating it best because of long tire life, road noise level, grip etc.....

I just put on a set of Potenza RE050A's on the rear. So far I like em but I noticed they're not on your list.

havent tried them all so I didn't vote. but I can tell you that I'm running Toyo T1S's right now, and they grip extremely well both in wet and dry. Tread life is supposed to be around 25,000 km if driven normally, which is not bad for a performance tire. The only complaint is that the sidewall may be a bit on the soft side, as it can feel just a bit sluggish at turn-ins. But that's supposed to be solved with the new Toyo T1Rs. Overall I love it...a lot quieter than stock too. I'll be going with T1Rs once these are worn out.

I voted for the first set of Michelin Pilots but I wanted to vote for the summer tires. I have no doubts what-so-ever that I will be replacing them with the exact same set. They are pricey but you get what you pay for.

I voted for the Eagle F1-GSD3 because it's a better tire than the OEM RE040s.

Wears better, quieter, better dry grip, better wet grip, more resistant to hydroplaning. Lateral responsiveness is so-so. And they are prices very competitively.

Haven't owned any other tires so I can't give a valid comparison beyond this.
