I just read a number of reviews on the tirerack site. Sounds like the only consistant issue in the reviews is they are very noisy

Default They are actually...

BFgoodrich tires are designed and manufactured by Michelin....yeah, its true! The Michilins are world renowned for being super sticky, very quiet, and excellent all around performers...heh, no wonder Ferrari, AMG, BMW, Porsche and Lexus use them as the OEM choice of tires. BFgoodrich tires are simply the more aggresive tread pattern designs of the Michelin's, especially the KDW-2's....in another words, your getting AWESOME looking, performing, lasting tires...without paying Michelin markup prices.

Just got mine put on 2 weeks ago - much better than OEM from ride, grip, and noise perspectives. The tread is very strange looking.

they're nice tires. i've had them on my prelude without problems and they didnt make any noise for me... could be because of the smaller tire? i dont know. but i've been thinking about putting them on the z.

Well from someone that has owned several ( and i mean several) 4 wd , the tread is mighty reminescent of the tread i would use for my wheel selection for my trucks. LOL...

from what I understand, Mich may own BFG, but they are not manufactured in the same high tech facility that makes the Pilots. Its not the same tire at all. Not saying its sub standard at all, just not in the same league with Pilots. And the price reflects that. That said, I think the KDW2 is a decent value. My 225's mounted fine, but the 245s were a bish to get beaded properly.

Longer than it needs to be, but here
http://www.timware.org/vid/kdw.wmv

listen at the very end as I go to make the turn, they do have a monster truck sound under 40.. oddly enough, they are probably quieter than stock 18s at 70mph. The vid shows KDW2 vs stock RSA 17s. I got OEM 18s right before getting the KDW2s.
