Default PICS of New shoes installed

Ruff Racing 279's

I know there are some chrome haters out there, but save the "bling, bling" comments.

Looking good. Love the big fat lip on the rear ! What size are you running? Planning on lowering your car next?

If they were on any other color Z they would probably look kinda cheesy but they look nice on the silverstone. If ya want your rims to stand out a bit on the silverstone, chrome works. You will probably get more bling bling comments about your grill anyway:-P In general I don't like chrome on the Z but I saw a guy with a silverstone and he had the chrome 18" Nismo wheels and they looked nice!

I think your rims look ok. Are those 17 or 18's? Whatever size they are, I think one size bigger would have looked a little better so you could run lower profile tires but still they're cool, besides it's your car not ours, right? If when I ever get mine, I'm sure I'll catch crap for having a Version 3 rear wing without using any ground effects or aftermarket hood on a redline. Oh well, ask me if I care LOL.

I like the overall shape/looks of the lip and spokes, though those fake alan bolt things I never cared for, especially cleaning. The rims on my truck have little nubs that are worse, they are fake FAKE bolts. It's like if you stand far away you get the illuision that they 'might' be fake bolts, until you get close and see that they are just bumps puahaha. Oh well, it's just a freakin truck lol.

I don't think his car is SS since I have a SS & that thing looks definitely lighter. I believe it's a CS.

How much do they weight each?

Have you noticed a handling difference when switching from the ultra light track wheels?

Looks like polished track wheels with studs. Not bad.

I think they good and would look even better when, or if, you lower the suspension. It will give a more aggressive look and I believe do more justice to the wheels. Just had mine lowered and I think it helped alot. Great wheel choice for the CS though.

Here are some pics. The tires are 255/285/30s. Front diameter is 26.02" and rear is 26.73". Let me know if you'd like to see the before shots. Good luck!

Here are the before shots and hopefully it gives you an idea of the difference and better stance everyone mentions on these boards. When I first got my new rims I didn't think I needed to lower it but something didn't seem right. The ride also felt a little different and not as "tight" as before (stock).

I talked with some of the "pros" i.e. Hotchkis Tuning and they recommended dropping it with new coilovers (instead of just springs) since I would be limited with that large of a tire in the front.

I'm really glad I lowered it (TEIN Basics) for both appearance and performance. Suspension feels better now.

Before lowering:
