Thinking of putting 18 inch wheels
Z Experts!
I am planning on upgrading my stock 17 inch wheels to 18 inch wheels. I have looked at PIAA sports meshed wheel. It comes in 18 x 8.5 with a 42mm offset and 18 x9.5 with a 38mm offset. What is the correct size I should use?Alsowhat size tires I should use on 18 inch wheels. What would be the
ideal set of 18 inch wheel with the right measurements like
offset, that you recommend me for stock 350z. I would like the wheels
not to show too much of a gap between wheel and fender however I
wouldnt want wheels to brush up on fenders on bumps and speedbrakers
etc.
Also I would like to improve car handling, stability and cornering. Do
you recommend 245/40 -18 on front and 275/40-18 on rear. What about
oversteer or understeer.?
I am a newbie and I think your vast knowledge can help me in making a
correct decision.
Thanks
Sal

I believe the stock offset is 35mm. Stock offset has the wheel pretty far in to begin with. Those measurements would push it back even more.
245 and 275s would improve the car's handling. Get those if you can.

hey sal, the tire size are perfect for 18's. I'm about to do the same tire size as soon as my tires go bad. But my car 18x8.5's all the way around. So 275 on the back will be pushing it, we'll have to see. Good Luck though.
