Default why 20's?

why do so many people want to put 20's on z's. 19's is even pushing it. it ruins the performance. just so u guys can say, "i got 20's on ma whip" lol. i say if u want 20's, buy a truck, or a old impala and put chrome 20's. too much show with 20's, dont wreck ure z's. porches, ferraris and lambos dont have 20's, they r too big and wreck the performance. we drive sports cars. what do u guys think. yah i was kinda bored.

I would put 20's on my the Z. Performance being hurt on the road isnt that big of a deal. I dont want crazy insurance because of street racing.

But on the track swith it to 17's, one because you will get better performance and two the tires are cheaper. So why not 20's if you like them

I don't "race" enough to worry that much about an extra inch. I'd like to get 20s myself...

well actually the ferraris and stuff are an odd example. they often times come with 18front 19rear or all 19 so 20 isnt that much diff. and the offsets on their wheels are weak like an rx8 somewhere around +50 ish but they come with 6 pot brakes standard. so comparing to a ferrari is an odd comparsion

here is a picture of a ferrari w/ 22's and 2 lambos w/ 20's, and dont tell me that you would rather have those cars right there w/ 17 inch wheels. so when you ask why 20's there is the answer.

Totally off topic...but....what's with the tow hook on that kit. The visage doesn't come with that I don't think. Did you weld the hook onto the frame and mod the bumper for it to come through? Is that because the bumper is too big that the OEM screw in tow hook wouldn't fit...or would rub the bumper if used?

Just asking because it looked different (and well-done).

No it doesn't, and the tow hook does fit however he's got a large radiator up there which is probably the reason for the modification. Here's what it would normally look like (which probably doen't look that great any way, heh)

the lambo and ferrari pic examples make no sense, those r aftermarket wheels. what im sayin is, whatever size the car comes out of the factory is right. an inch bigger is ok, but 2 inches bigger? u guys with ure 20's, too much show for my liking. just my opinion.

Right..and maybe you didn't know that G35s come with 19s stock, or the new 06 Zs comes with 19s in the back. Stock. So let's see, 19+1 = 20. So you said +1 off factory is ok, which means that you are really saying that 20s are also ok.
