Every tire mfg posts specs on their web site.
Look up Toyo tires for example and see what rim they require for each tire size and style.
Usually there is a range of wheel widths for each tire.

here's a guy saying that's the set up he has on his so called "porsche,ferrari killer" super car.

In order for it to fit it would have to be a 315/20/18, "IF" it were to fit or made on a 9.5" rim.
I have 265/40/18's DR's on a 9.5"Rim which sits flush no stretch no buldge. So lets assume you increase tread print and reduce side wall.
285/30/18- No side wall,
295/25/18- rubberband
305/20/18- Elastic
315/15 or 20/18- Celophane wrapper WTF.
I'd say no but I'm no Tire Manufacturer.

Just come look for your self, We run this rear tire. We track this tire, and we daily drive on this tire. We have for years now. WITH APSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM

It doesn't work that way. A 315/35/18 is the same overall diameter as a stock 245/45/18. It can physically fit, but there will be severe sidewall bulge and IMO its not safe.
