Default Just got my ruff racing 278 19" (pics included)

I just received my wheels in the mail today. They look better than expected and the lip is nice and fat in the back! 2.5" in front, 3.5" in back. Width of tires are 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the back, 20mm offset. Only thing is they are a little heavy. I weighed them on a scale and the fronts are 28 lb backs are 30 lb. These weights are without tires. Does anyone know how much the stock rims weight without tires? I attached some pics to this thread so everyone can see what they look like. Hopefully, I'll have these wrapped in toyo t1-r's within a week. I'll post pics up again once I have them on.

BTW: I got the last set from nfs autosports, so if anyone is considering getting these, I think there is a waiting list for 1-2 months.

great choice! When I get the funds to get wheels, those are the ones for me! BTW, did you mean 20mm offset instead of 2mm?

But you don't know my cc #. That is on the front. I'll edit the picture though just in case.

mwh350z: yeah, I meant 20mm

I ordered mine from Need4Speed too. Great looking wheels at a very reasonable price.

Nice choice they are coming out with two new designes one is a 5 spoke and the other is a mesh.

As for the weights of stock wheels, the 17's are around 22-25 pounds.

Thanks So I guess I'll see a slight decrease in performance compared to stock. Do you have a link to the new wheels?

I don't think you will notice much of a difference.

Here are some shots of the new wheels coming out.

Westpak: The new ones look nice, but I'm glad I got the ones I did. They almost remind me of a Brabus wheel that I saw at Butler Tire. Do you happen to know if the 278's clear aftermarket brembos? BTW: The hyperblack looks SICK on your car. Perfect match with your paint.

Mario: lol, sorry I had to take the last set, I was periodically checking to see how many they had and one day the guy said he only had one more. I HAD to get them as I didn't want to wait.

Actually I'm waiting on that new 5 spoke wheel (280). It will hopefully be in closer to the end of this month.

To answer your question...these wheels clear Brembos as well as other BBK's.
That was one of the design goals. Really great wheels.

As Mario mentioned they were designed to clear the big brake kits and also with the offset in mind to also bring them out nicely. My 278's clear the Brembos easily.

We get them locally as the gm for Status Wheels, manufacturers of the Ruff line, is a member of our club and their warehouse is in Ft Lauderdale.
