Default Nitto NT01 - Anyone try these?

Since Kumho doesn't offer the V710 in 275/35 or 275/40 18" sizes, I am considering these new Nittos. I want a set of tires for track and autox duty on my 18" 5Zigens.

Anyone try these? Anyone have any opinions or will I be the guinea pig this time around. Unfortunately they ain't cheap, actually comparatively more expensive than the Kumhos but still less than Hoosiers.

yeah, they will only last you a good 8-10k miles if your lucky...but, are extremely STICKY!!! They are suppose to be exclusive competition tires! I am getting them as well, but the Nitto rep said to fit 275 19's i have to wait till summer of 06' as they are not available yet!

I hope they don't last 8-10k miles...not sticky enough then. If they last a season of autocrosses and quarterly track events then it will be worth it if they are as sticky as I hope. The Kumho V710's are the touchstone for this class of tire for grip and value. Other r-compounds have come and gone in our socal regional class and most wait for nationals before paying for hoosiers.

I just hope it's not another manufacturer trying to muscle in on a very picky market with a half-arsed product.
