Default 265/30/19 front, 275/30/19 rear combo?

Just found some pretty inexpensive tires at tiresavings.com. the 265/30/19's are $133 apiece and the 275/30/19's are $147 apiece. Made by General Tire and they arent really for people who want really high performance but they do seem like they will last awhile with treadwear rating of 380. Would the 265/30/19 tire on a 8.5 rim with a offset in the low 20's have any problems with rubbing? Im curious how this setup would perform against similar tires with the standard 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 setup.

Nexx, try searching on tirerack.com or tires.com for those generals! I just found the right size..... 245/35/19 for the front for $127 a piece!

yeah, but they dont make 275/35/19's, for some reason i dont like the idea of mis-matching tire models.

If you look for 275/30/19's they have them ! I did a search on the boards and some people are using 30 series in the back.

275/30/19 when used in conjuction with 245/35/19 can and have caused problems with tcs and vdc. plus it looks strange cause the side walls on the rear look so obviously shorter then the fronts with that configuration. thats why i can up with the idea of using 265/30/19's for the front wheels. it should solve both problems. plus you can get the whole set of tires for about $600 shipped. I'm not too thrilled at the prospect of having to spend $1,100 for tires. Especially for toyos that wear so easily.

Especially if you count feathering issues. Even though my feathering isn't that bad right now, it's still there. It could be magnified if when I put on bigger wheels/tires.
I wanan use a cheap set in the beginning to find out.

I thought 30 is the aspect ratio of 275? Would that be pretty equal to
35 being the aspect ratio of 245?

I know you're supposed to do some math; you can't just go by 30 is smaller than 35.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

no sir, 245/35 has wider sidewalls then 275/30, i have read and done my math, both point to this fact. 265/30/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rears should really perform well without throwing off vcd or tcs. your axis hiro's were $1150 shipped, your tires could be $600 shipped, install at your local discount tire should be around $50. Thats a damn nice setup for $1700. oh yeah, dont forget to get your alignment redone!
