Default Can anyone tell me the lightest rim possible?

I would like to know which wheels are the lightest. I have read that volks are pretty light, but they are also expensive as can be. I know the stock track wheels are also, but i am looking for something with the following restrictions:

Preferably Black or Gunmetal with polished lip.
The setup would be 19x9.5 in the front AND rear.
Under $2,000 without tires.
5-spoke design (can be double spoke with close gap)

Currently i am looking at:
Ruff Racing 278
Sparco Spec D

I am fairly concerned about the weight of the rim and tire together.
I don't want to have a set of wheels that weigh 65lbs each in the rear.

You might be able to get Volk LE 37T's for that price. They are however a 6 spoke. They come in gunmetal and black. They come in 9.5, are forged, and are about as light as a wheel can get. They also have a polished lip. You have a real dilema here. Light weight and low cost don't go hand in hand. The lighter you go the more expensive it gets. If you want light weight you need a forged wheel. Forged ain't cheap. Ruff's are heavy.

Not my image.... Thanks to the original poster

I'm getting the Wedsport TC-005's for track days 18 x 9 front and 18 x 10 rear. Not available in 19's; 17's or 18's only, but they are less then 20 lbs each and are in your price range.

There may be a few lighter wheels out there but the 18" Nismos weigh approx 18 lbs front (18x8.5) and 18.5 lbs rear (18x9.5). You should be able to get them for less than $1,800 if you shop around. I got mine for $1,600 shipped. They are one piece forged wheels and made for the Z by Rays Engineering (the maker of Volks).

Unfortunately they only come in silver and bronze in the U.S. I have seen pictures of them powdercoated black though and they look good. They also now come in 19s, but they are around 20 lbs and cost more.

Why don't you just buy the set I have for sale of the LE37T. They are gunmetal, and 19", but they are staggered. They are pretty much some of the lightest wheels you can buy.

Give me a call...866-674-2309. I am currently selling them for cost, and you can check out my rep on here as a dealer, I guarantee, you won't regret it!!

Default Enkei RPF1 - A double split 6 spoke.

http://www.enkei.com/RacingSeriesSpecs/RPF1.html

Looks like the 18" is between 17 and 19 lbs depending on width while the 10" is 18 to little under 20lbs. These are some featherweights.

The Enkei RP03 is also another nice one, although it doesn't have a polished lip...
