Default Dealer Ruined my Volks

So the other day I took my car for an oil change at a Nissan dealership that I had not been to before.

Turns out this particular dealership gives complimentary car washes with oil changes.

I got my car back, went to the gas station about 2 miles away.. and found Tire Shiner all over my Bronze Volk CE28N. I thought no big deal I'll just wash it off.

I sprayed it with water and tried wiping it off but it seems as if the Tire shiner left white stains all over my bronze volks that will not come off

I tried soap and water and still won't come off

does anyone know any safe wheel cleaners that will take the stain out? thanks

go back to the dealer and show them what they did.
force them to buy you new wheels.
next time (if there is a next time) tell them not to wash your car.

Tire shine won't do that... but the wheel cleaner they used will.

JETPILOT is correct.......
tire shine is not what screwed up your wheels, the acid tehy sprayed on them ate the finish off. hopefully this happened yesterday......take it back now, they will probably try to deny it, you should have pointed it out immediately. your wheels are screwed, time to powdercoat or paint them.......sorry man

Go to the dealer with a loaded shotgun. Point it at the service guy's head, the guy that wrote you up, blow out his brains. Go to the idiot who ruined your finish. Blow out his brains. Put down your weapon and wait for the cops to show up. Explain to them the situation and they should probably let you go. Perfectly justifiable actions IMO.

id take your car back and explain the situation. if they deny it, spray some more cleaner on the wheels and see what happens. then demand they fix it.

exactly, if they say they didnt do it, ask them to spray the cleaner from the detailing department on there and watch what happens. then whats their arguement?

The lesson here is NEVER drive the car away from the dealer until you have looked over the car from top to bottom, left to right. They are most likely going to deny they are at fault. Since the rims may already be ruined, you may be able to reproduce the problem in front of the Service Manager.

Agree. There are acid base wheel cleaners (made to cut brake dust). These cleaners will permanently stain wheels.

That's insane. You should be able to get your point across by breaking a couple of legs with baseball bat.

Good luck on getting reimbursed for the damaged wheels!
I highly doubt they're gonna give in that easy, even if you can replicate it, because they'll use the excuse of "why didn't you tell them before leaving the dealership"
Good luck, hope things go your way!
*curious to see the outcome*
