Default 18" tire size HELP!

Alright, I have stock 18" touring wheels and it is time to replace the tires. I found a great deal on some 225/40/zr18, will these fit? if so will there be any complications, if not...why?

These should fit, I thought the stock tire sizes were 225, the sidewall is just 5mm smaller, it just gives it a low pro look. Should fit with no probs. I remember some people are running 225/40/18 on their stock track wheels, I don't see any differences on the touring, correct me if I am wrong.

the stock 18's are 225 in the front and 245 in the rear.. are you just replacing the front tires or are you replacing all becasue if you are you would need 245 in the rear.

Not only are the rear tires wider, they are also taller. That difference between the front tires and rear tires is called "stagger". VDC/TCS depend on that stagger to work properly. I assume you have the Touring trim Z, correct? Then you have VDC/TCS. Without going into the full explanation, please read this entire thread for details regard the effect of a non-staggered setup...

I actually just purchased a set of 18" touring wheels from a member of this site...I am a fellow nissan owner yet I drive a maxima so they will not be going on a touring edition Z. Don't know if that changes anything

If your Maxima had the same tires on all four corners then you're good to go.
