Default Winter wheels & "Slip" light

Hello,
I have a 2003 350z touring and I just had installed the Blizzak WS-50 17" tires and wheels from thetirerack.com at my local dealer. My problem is - my "slip" light is on at all rpm's over approximately 3000, limiting my acceleration (in all gears). In reading through the posts, I know this can be due to tire size, but I see many of you have this 17" set on your cars.

I did notice, however, that the dealer installed the tires backwards (225/55-17 in the front, 225/50-17 in the rear). Could this make enough of a difference to cause this problem, or is there something else I need to do to solve this problem? Also, will my speedometer be off any noticable amount, and should it be recalibrated? Thanks!

Switch them around immediately, that is what is throwing the "SLIP" light.

+1. The tires in the rear should be taller than the tires in the front.
