I have been told that I need to roll my fenders to run 285's in the rear with the LE28N's and 285's, even at stock height. How wide can I go on a 10.5" rim before I have any issues with rubbing? Is it possible to lower the car with a wide tire like that?
I would like to lower the car 0.5", and have at least a 285mm tire.. thoughts?
Thanks
Chris

Volk GT-7 19 x 10.5 +24 offset 285/35/19? How about 295/30/19? My car is on stock suspension, but I plan on going with Tein Flex with EDFC soon. I am not going to drop it much, I just want a stiffer suspension.
My front wheel is 19 x 9.5 +30 offset and I am going with 255/35/19.

With rubbing issues, lowered or not, most common problems are the wrong wheel offsets. If you choose the correct offset for your car, and that's with any car, the tires should not rub.
With the whole tire size issue, depending on the tire manufacture, some tires will stretch more than others and this is due to the tire mold from the different factories. For example, 285 Falken's will stretch more than a 285 Michelin. I know you can't go and try on every single tire brand to see which brand stretch's and which do not so a good indicator is to compare the section widths of each tire brand. The section width is a measure of the tire's width from tire shoulder to shoulder, and can be found on any tire size/spec sheet on any of the manufacture's websites.
