Default 235/50/18 tires in the front?

I was wondering if a 235/50/18 size tire will run fine in the front of the Z, or if the 5mm difference will cause the tires to rub or do anything they're not supposed to. Thanks in advance!

That will work fine. I have 245's on all four corners. Plenty of people have even wider tires than that up front.

Well I was more worried of the 50 series profile which is only on the stock 17 tires, and not the 45 that is in the stock 18 size...but will this be a significant problem?

God, I'm sorry. I totally missed the damn question. I had something else on my mind when I read that. Personally, I wouldn't feel like I was risking much to go 5mm more... Er ... maybe not, though. You're actually adding a total of 10mm vertically since you are adding 5mm in every direction.

I think there are a couple of negatives to this. One, Nissan may not help you with tire feathering problems if you use a non OEM size tire (this happened to me). Two, based on my admittedly small pool of performance knowledge, this seems counter-productive to handling. It raises ride height and - I would think - decreases tire stiffness.

Why not go 235/40/18? You can get them in the same bfg kdw nt tire. That would be closer to stock.

235/50/18 = 27.25 dia.
235/40/18 = 25.4 dia

225/45/18 = 25.96 dia (stock 18")

I wouldn't go anything bigger than 45 series. They will look like truck tires with a 50 series.
