+12mm offset OK for the rear?
Hello Everyone,
I'm new and I'm worried because a local dealer ordered a set of Gram Lights 57C
for me. They said fronts are 18x8.5 +30 and rears are 18x9.5 +12. I questioned the +12 and they said it will fit without any rubbing. I've searched every forum
site and nobody has this setup. I plan on running w/245/40/18F and 275/40/18R
and I hope it's OK without any adjustments.
Please help,
Super GT Fan
PS My car is stock 03' Performance and this is the only mod I'm doing.

Interesting. The standard NISMO rear wheel is 18x9.5 with a +30mm offset. And you are talking about a +12mm offset. So your wheel will sit 18mm closer to the fender than the NISMO wheel. That might be a tight fit.
a 9.5 + 12
will work ok...
in essence it is a 10 +18
and i know a few guys that run that without too much issues.
you can run a 275 and may or may not need a roll depending on how low you are and how much rear camber you have.

I am running a +22 offset in the rear with a 18-9.5 and it is absolutly flush with the fender. This is the best setup in my opinion. I have pics of it in the wheel and tire section.

I plan on keeping everything else stock, so I don't want to change the suspension or
camber settings. I'm just worried the tires will stick out too much.
Here is a pic of my car with 20's if it helps. they are a 20x11 rear 34 offset. The front is a 20x9 29 offset (stock Enthusiast suspension). My buddies at Auto Effects say to be careful with the +12 because they will probably stick out. They don't sell that particular wheel but they said most wheels thay do in an 18 on a Z should be about a 25 offset in the rear. If you have any other questions PM me and Ill give you their number and they can help you figure out what the deal is.

I have a that off set on my FNO1R-C but they are 17s. I belive that it is a +15 on a 17x9 and a +12 in the rear on a 17x10. I have no rubbing issues but I have my fenders rolled. I run 255/40/17 on Falken ST-115 in front and 275/40/17 on Falken RT-615 in the rear. I had my fenders rolled to fit my 19s' for 295/35/19 BFGoodrich KDW. I love that look so I hope that helps you.
18X9.5 +15 fits with a 11" section tire. Not lowered, unrolled fenders. Any wider tire would be problems. Be very careful with the tires you choose unless you are willing to mod the fenders.
