Default For those who have tracked on 19's, how well do they do?

I am thinking about going up to 19's but I want to make sure they will work out on the track. I know the tires are more pricey but do they work as good as the 18's would?

What kind of things would I need to be concerned about if any?

Many thanks!
JA

Keep your stocks for track day. Use your 19s for daily use.

It totally depends on the wheels. If you get a good quality set of wheels such as Volks it would perform better. Having a wider tire with a bigger contact patch helps. Shorter sidewalls also prevents roll. It all comes down to how good your set up is. If you have a set of lead 19's with crusty offsets and widths it will only do you harm. The key is light weight and getting them wide.

If you get 22's you could have a really small sidewall that's really stiff then you would have a super handleing Z.
