Default takin 2 pc rims apart???

well i have a set of ro ja r2-5's, which are 2 pc rims....there is a decent amount of brake dust on them and is impossible to clean between some of them nooks and crannies...so my question is, is it safe to take the rims apart and get them all cleaned up???

Can your rims be taken apart? Most two piece wheels consist of a center peice which is WELDED to the barrel. If your's are bolted in, then yes, you can undo the bolts and take them apart. Just use some loctite when you put them back together.

Yes.

a. Take the wheels apart.
b. Clean.
c. Assemble using a torque screwdriver.
d. Add tires.
e. Balance.

NO!

Only a trained professional should take the wheels apart!

End of story.

soft scrub?! i would not use soft scrub on my wheels.

i use nothing other than just car wash soap and water. try using qtips for the hard to reach parts.
