Default what tyres for the Z

Guys i have a stock 05 roadster and just scared the hell outa myself with these sh&^ty potenza tyres in light rain. What tyres would you suggest for max grip in mainly dry , but the occasional wet day driving ?

if you want max grip in the dry you'll get even worse wet traction. Look into michelin pilot sports, they're supposed to be excellent in dry and wet conditions. They're expensive though.

hands down best tire i have ever had on my cars for everyday driving.

Check out car and driver dec 2005. Dry grip Yokohoma Ad07. Wet grip Goodyear F1 gs-d3. Overall winner Goodyear F1 gs-d3.

Excellent reference. Consumer Reports also selected Goodyear as their #1 choice.

I'm surprised that you would make negative comments about the OEM tires and rain. I found the OEM tires suitable until about 20,000 miles. After 20,000 wet performance went done hill fast.
