I really like my factory rims. Has anyone had any good success on painting the rims?? If so, how has the paint held up so far? Is it cost effective??
Thanks alot,
Steve

from a durability standpoint, go with powdercoating....not to say a good quality paint job wont hold up, but road debris can create chipping in the paint...especially if you dont clearcoat it too.
just my $0.02

^Not really. You can get some paint and DIY for a lot less than it is to have them professionaly powdercoated. I'm probably looking at around $200/rim to get my Track rims powdercoated.
powdercoating should run you between $300 and $500. I charge at the upper end of that range because, frankly, I'm doing corvette calipers now, and I can do 4 sets in the time it takes to do one wheel, and I am backlogged with work. Now, if you can strip them down to bare metal first, thats another story!
im 100% powdercoating wheels 100% black, at least get the lips polished, imo, it looks like *** when your wheels match the color of your tires completely without a polished lip. looks like your running 100% rubber or you lost your hub caps.
