Default The 6th Stud

Real quick guys, and I know that this will make me look like I know nothing but I'm a relatively new Z owner and I test fitted some HRE's on my car the other night. I had to take off that little bolt and spacer (on the fronts only) between the studs for the wheel to fit. What is that little bolt and spacer for? Is just a wheel guide or is it to pull the rotor. Just curious if I need it on there because the HRE's won't allow it. (by the way they're 18" 845R's 265 fronts, 285 rears and they look mean!)

IIRC, that stud (bolt) is there so you can not put your stock rear tires on the front. It is fine to take off that bolt.

That's really all it does, to keep the rears in the rear huh? Thanks.

Yep, I'm glad you didn't grind the inside of your HREs like another member did once to try and get them over the bolt. Lets see some pics ASAP.

Ouch, that was the last thing on my mind, taking a grinder to HRE's! I'll get some pics up tonight. We didn't know with the offset if they would fit the Z because they were originally purchased for an RX7 but they do and they look amazing.

Isn't that the ground bolt for the flux capacitor? If you take it out you cant go back to the future, you have to leave it in to get into warp speed.
