It needs a center cap. Never really liked the look of wheels with no center cap

Is powder coating the only proper way to paint rims? Can it be done with urethane?

BTW, We had another member break an RPF-1 that was powder coated. Enkei said "NO warranty and don't use the rims since the heat of powder coating structurally weaken them".

enkei powdercoats there own rims though?

as long as they are chemically dipped and then repowdercoated the strength of the rim shouldnt change

how did he break his rim anyways?

Enkei paints their rims. The heat exposure is what destroys the rim.

He broke several spokes on the road course, No off course excursions or curb jumping either. Front wheel broken spokes and deformed, scratched up the caliper. It's been a while ago but discussion was had.

I personally run the RPF-1 on my car and love the wheels light weight but I also know that when I have the 275/285 tires on the car the wheel stress is unreal. If you run improper offset (<30mm) then the wheel loading is even higher.

A valid concern although I am not particularly worried about it. So far so good, they held up fine for the first auto-x. Photo courtesy of Rob Rockefeller:

yup youre right i looked it up, sorry

bummer about that though, Enkei says the heat treat their one piece wheels...i guess powdercoating it hotter? or cooks them longer?
