Someone told me it will someone told me it won't. Anyone have any experiences with such?

Its possible but i think it depends on your offset as well. it will look stretched though.

Yes it will...

I run a 245 on my front 9.5 it's a little stretch but definitely possible.

Hell I know guys who stretch 235's on 10" wheels but that's a whole nother can of worms.

What size wheel does the tire manufacturer recommend?

yeah it depends on the tire...some are a little more narrower or wider than others.

I ran Goodyear F1's on 9.5's no problem, slight stretch but not bad, offsets does'nt matter.

go with BFG's KD series tire. great tires and look alot less stretched then other brands.

I got a really good deal on slightly used potenza re040's (stock track wheels) and want to use them on the new wheels I'm getting.

Yeah I didnt think offset would matter, but its 20. When I'm ready for new tires I'll get something nice and meaty in the back.

So the general concensus is that they will fit with no safety issues?

Here is the specs from TOYO's site reads:

245/40ZR19 98Y RD 8.0-9.0-9.5
255/40ZR19 96Y 8.5-9.0-10.0
235/35ZR19 91Y RD 8.0-9.0-9.5
245/35ZR19 93YRD 8.0-8.5-9.5
