Default Kind of OT: question about lugs for 350z wheels on an Altima

ok, i have some 350z touring 18" wheels from my 350z that I just purchased and the z came with custom wheels on it. So the touring wheels are just sitting in my barn taking up space. I know that I can put these on my 05 Altima, but I need to know what kind of lugs I need to use. I do not have the original ones that came with the Z wheels, just the ones on the Altima right now. Let me know which ones I need to use.

Thanks,
Jeff

I highly recommend the MAD CRAZY SUPER JDM TITE lug nuts. You gotta order them from Japan though for authentic JDMism.

I really think people are messing with us with this new crowd of users.

ok, but do you think I need to use lugs that are made for the 18" touring wheels? and not the ones that are currently on the Altima? thanks

Take one the lug nuts to the auto parts store. Ask the salesperson to give you 16 of the same type.

How hard would it really be to take one lug nut off the car and see if it works on the other car? Do you really need a forum for that?

is there some type of rule that says you can't ask a question on this forum? Hmm, lets see I could jack the car up and get everything ready to swap the wheels, take one wheel off and put the new Z wheel on and then check if the lugnut fits.... or take about 20 seconds to ask a simple question and get a simple response and not have to get a bunch of crap for it.... sorry that I just got my Z and I am not as cool as you are and don't know everything there is to know about cars...

First off.......you'll never be as cool as me so be prepared to live your life knowing your only half the man a man could be. Second, it would have been easier for you to just jack the cars up and see. Third, no there aren't any rules about asking questions as you can clearly see from the threads started today.

Re-read the thread. I believe two of us answered the question. I absolutely insist that you post questions like this in the future, especially on Saturdays.

Don't do it, even if it does fit (probably won't, the offsets for FWD cars are different) it won't look good.

I don't think putting those wheels on your Altima would be a good idea. First of all the rear tires are wider on Touring wheels. Your car is front wheel drive. I put my Touring wheels on my 97 240sx. They fit, but they rubbed in the front when I turned too sharp. They're just too big. And they're really heavy. I destroyed the stock clutch trying to burn out once. Oops. But if you do it, get the Z lug nuts or ones like them. They're pretty deep.
