For the price on ONE you can go to Tirerack and buy their Pressure monitor system.

It's actually pretty cool looking.... too bad it won't sync-up with the already installed sensor receiver in the car.

I was going to check into this also! Depending on the deal I can find it might be worth the $ Vs pain and running around to break down the wheels / tires X amount of times when you need to switch them.

These guys http://www.courtesyparts.com advertise on 350zforum.com that they will give any member 25% off Nissan OEM parts when you call in your order saying you got to them through the site. might be worth checking them out! If you do please post the details!

That's who I got the quote from. The gentleman I spoke to was laughing and said, "I don't think you really want them." before giving me the price. They are a US only option so you can't even get them from the JDM. Believe me, I've already tried that avenue.

Throw me a price they are worth to you. I might be willing to part with mine. I'm getting aftermarket wheels and haven't found a perfect way of installing them with the reversed lip and all......PM me if you want and I'll consider.

You can actually use them with your new wheels. Just disconnect the stem from the sensor, then glue the sensor onto the drum. That's what TXSTYLE did w/his Anteras. You can PM him for details.

I just wanted two complete sets for my aftermarket wheels whenever I get them. The sensor alone is $225.

Yeah, I had read one of his posts about that....I just wouldn't do that. One good pothole and you've got an issue. Additionally, you'd have to break them free if you ever damage the wheel and have to replace it. I'd like to learn more about this metal band some Corvette guys are using in their aftermarket wheels...I heard we could do something along that line also, but can't get enough details.

The older corvette pressure sensors had a metal band with a weight (to balance the weight of the sensor) that wrapped around the drop center of the wheel. They were quite difficult to work on and were prone to getting smashed in the tire machines so they switched them to the valve stem type (like in the Z). I am pretty sure you could do a similar thing with your sensors.

I can't remember the size of the 'vette wheels that had them but they're probably 17-18ish, so you may be able to use the bands from those and mount the Z sensors to them.

A maybe better option is to make your own band out of thin sheet metal with some sort of clamp thing for easy removal, because epoxying the $225 sensors to wheels seems kinda too permanent.

But how would you hold them at the appropriate angle...I have a flat lip and they are supposed to be mounted at whatever angle the stock lip is. I'm pretty sure someone else said they work fine at 90degrees...but would want to be sure. Someone figure out this banding deal the easiest and cheapest reliable way and please post.
