SF-WINNING on Silverstone roadster: Gunmetal or Silver?
Here are my questions:
I have a hardon for the SF-winning wheels. I'm stock height and have brembos. My car is silverstone and I'm debating whether to get gunmetal or mercury silver wheels.
Also I want to clear the brembos and not have to roll the fenders. I'm thinking 10in BACK and 9in FRONT. Will I roll fenders?
I checked the other wheel threads but it gets confusing by so many different opinions...

having to roll fenders depends how low you drop the car. Take a look at this car, it has the recommended size for Z's.

Your choices (assuming you're going 19s) are:
8.5"/9.5"
8.5"/10.5"
9.5"/10.5"
(and too many offset combinations to list...)
I have SS and prefer Mercury Silver, although Gunmetal doesn't look to bad either. If you want to see Mercury Silver on SS, search my posts for pix. If you want to see Gunmetal on SS, search for user "gt3". Both are coupes, but it will give you an idea for what you're looking for.

That's a sweet ride you got islandnow. Do you experience any rubbing? I have the stock suspension so mine's higher, will eventually want to lower it as well. Perhaps i should stick with 10in max in the rear and 9in in the front.

Thanks a lot Vick, tough choice! I think I like mercury silver better.
As far as the width goes I thought my guy quoted me on 10in and 9in and they didn't have 1/2 in them.
I suppose i would go with 9 1/2 front and 10 1/2 back then.

Hahah my boy Amit is still blingn...did it rain on you after you washed the car? Mine is still CAKED =(
I think to make bbk fit in back you'd have to do a spacer on the already protruding +17 offset. I'm getting my camber readjusted...and man I think the rim is gonna be WAY out of the fender compared to say a +22 setup which is almost IMO perfectly flush. I'm still gonna run probably 1.5-2 degrees Neg camber so they tuck into the fender. Right now I'd imagine I'm at 3-4 degrees, easy.
It will be interesting to see how far into the fender I can go considering I have a meaty tire (275/35) in back. BTW...I put my fingers in the rear fender and even WITH camber i could fit in only one finger. In the front its like 1.5 fingers. So its not really scientific but I think my car is indeed lower in back now, albeit a very very little bit. Might be the gradiation of my work parking lot..but I know I'm not that off =(
I'm definitely a lot lower than tim's car (above), much more in rear, a lil more in front. Must go lower now to compensate for the damn trunk install =/

Thanks guys. I'm in the market for new wheels so I'm doing a little window/net shopping . I have BBKs (front & rear) which is why I was asking. I like the lip he has on the rear.

Sorry to tag on to this thread but i'm getting an 06 6MT Enthusiast in about 2 weeks...I like the 18's on them but wanted to play around with the ideas of 19's...i love these that you guys are talking about...i don't know much about wheels and how to set them up...what's the ideal set up? I'm not looking to lower the car...i think it's low enough but i guess i could be easliy persuaded to lower it just a bit...please help a newbie!
