Default Sick of wheelspin in my stock Z

I've never upgraded my tires. At 16k miles on a 2003 Z, I have no tread on the rear tires.

I have looked at alot of tires, and so far the Michelin Pilot Sport SP2s look superior to most others. Their wet handling is supposedly almost as good as their dry handling, and I havn't found a tire that rates better on the tire sites. I don't know how accurate those ratings are though..

The other downfall is that if I get 245s in the front and 275s in the rear, the SP2's are going to cost me roughly $1000. Yuck.

Any opinions on this?

You're correct in your choice. The PS2 is the cream of the crop.

I have had on my car (beside the **** stock tires):

Falken RT-615's
PS2's

Here is my reviews:
Falken's
Pro - Cheap, last as long as stock, best dry gripping street tire made, comes in a ton of different sizes, great track tire too.
Con - last as long as stock, low wet grip

PS2's
Pro - Best wet grip high performance summer tire, great dry grip, last 1.5x as long as stock
Con - one of the most expensive tires made, doen't come in a wide variety of sizes

I did use my Falken's for street tires, but it rains to much in Georgia, so now I use them for AutoX. If I lived out West still, I would just run my Falken's all the time! When my PS2's wear out, I will probably get KDW's since they have been rated just as good in all driving conditions as PS2's but they are cheaper and have a longer wear rating!

Yoko ES100s suck, they are loud and wear out fast...PS2's don't come in stock Z sizes. BFG kdw2s are good. Upgrade wheels and you'll have a lot more selection...Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s are awesome, michelin PS2s, I even like the Kumho Ecsta MX.

Yeah, it's more like $1000 3 times a year !

I've had the Falkens too. Love them on the dry, rainy days meant I drove the beater.

I'm trying the KDW now and I've been impressed with the grip in the rain.

Well, If I stay with 18" rims, what widths should i get for the front and rear?
