[PICS] WORK Wheels damaged my UPS
#21
How is UPS to blame for this? Was there any noticeable damage to the box it was delivered in? Because if there is no damage to the box it is impossible that it was damaged during transit.
IMO, that looks like it was already damaged like that when it was placed in the box.

It depends what kind of person you are. If you can wait, then I would. Your vendor is not going to cover the cost on it anyway most likely. In the import parts biz, it usually always falls on the mfg. In this case Z1 would have to send the wheel back to Japan and Work would have to decide whether they would refund you any money. In most cases, they would want to only provide a replacement wheel. Most companies I've dealt with NEVER want to give any sort of money back.

I've got 9 boxes in my basement with wheels inside of them (yes I'm a wheel *****). One box of which I'd be happy to drop on the floor since I no longer have use for it. Now if I were to drop the box flat on its face there is NO WAY I can chip just one small edge of the wheel as in the picture. In fact no matter which way I drop the box, unless something on the floor was sharp enough to puncture through the cardboard at an angle that would chip it, the chances of just a regular drop on the ground are highly unlikely as is this scenario.

I feel your pain. I had this happened almost 1 year ago, and it took 2.5 months to getting it all back to normal. To make the long story short, the claims by Fed Ex was a long process, and the shipper didn't want to pay for the damage. It kept going back and forth until the shipper fed up with my constant phone calls, he sent a replacement wheel back to me. If I had to do it all over again, I would not buy the wheels. I've had them for a year now, and it is still on the car, loving it, but the hassle was too much. Next time, I'm buying locally. Good Luck!!!

Does evo77 work for UPS????
deadcop, you might try Ye Olde Wheel Shoppe (YOWS for short) (6363 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075, (800) 526-8260, (410) 796-8400). These guys know their ****. I think Alberto on this forum is friends with the owner and has spoken highly of them. I checked them out when I had a wheel problem and they were cool. Get their opinion and take it from there. However, a repaired wheel will always bug you, and I think you know that. Such a drag . . . you SO don't deserve this. Anyway, maybe they can give some advice and/or help.
