Default Pix of Toyo T1-R in 255/35/19 and 285/35/19?

I notice that I lot of people are moving up to a 255/35/19 and 285/35/19 setup, but most of those people are using BFG KDW2's. Is anyone running the above sizes in Toyo T1-R's? If so, can you please post pix?

The reason I am going for the T1-R's is because they're narrower, and I'll need that with my offsets.

I've been down to Status and met with Rick a few times, but where are the pix of the tires?

Basically, I don't like the chunky look of the BFG's in 285/35, and I don't like the narrow look of the Toyo's in 275/35. So I can go with either a 275/35 for the BFG, or a 285/35 for the Toyo's. The reason I'm going to go with the Toyo's is because I'm going to run 255/35's on the front, and with my +19 offset, I will rub if I go with a 255/35 BFG KDW2.

Hopefully that makes sense...haha

i'm running on 245 - 275 right now. I also want to move up to 255 later but i''ll probably keep the rears at 275.

That doesn't look too bad. I guess the Toyo's in 285/35 don't look too thick...

But since you ran the SF Winning Brian, what do you suggest in terms of tires? My SF Winnings are 19x9.5" +19 and 19x10.5" +29 (+5mm spacer = +24). Basically, I am running T1-R's right now on my wheels in 245/35/19 and 275/35/19. The backs are okay, only slightly stretched, but the front is pretty damn stretched. So, I think on my next set of tires, I'm going to be running 255/35/19's for SURE on the front, and the rear I'm undecided on. Here's my options:

Option 1:
Toyo T1-R
255/35/19 - Should fit just fine without rubbing, according to your other post
275/35/19 - I have it now and it's a little stretched, and it may look funny with a 255 on the front

Option 2:
Toyo T1-R
255/35/19 - Should fit just fine without rubbing, according to your other post
285/35/19 - Don't know if this will fit once I get my 19x10.5" +17 SF Winnings on the rear...don't know if I can roll enough to accomodate both a +17 offset AND a 285/35 tire

Option 3:
BFG KDW2
255/35/19 - Don't know if this will fit without rubbing, since BFG's are wider than the Toyo's
275/35/19 - Should look less stretched than my Toyo's in 275/35/19, so I won't have to step up to 285/35/19

I would guess my best option would be either 2 or 3. With option 2, I will need to worry about the fitment on the rear since I don't know if I can roll enough to accomodate both the +17 offset and the 285/35 tire. With option 3, I will need to worry about fitment on the front, since I don't know if 255/35/19 BFG KDW2s on a 19x9.5" +19 will fit without rubbing.

What's your opinion on this? BTW, I'm running Hotchkis springs, if that matters.

I'm in the same exact predicament as you Bhasha.

I know I want a 255 front but still undecided about the rear.

I want to keep the 275 rear for a better slip angle but the extra beef in back would be nice. I'm just afraid too much tire will slow me down, or induce to much understeer.

Hahah...I was just about to bump this thread for info!

Anyways, yeah, I really don't want to HAVE to go with a 285 rear since there's really no need for that much tire on the back. So I kind of hope the BFG fits fine on the front (255/35). If it does, I'm definately staying with 275 on the back, but just going with the BFG.

Why dont you go with option 1? Brian mentioned he is currently running that same tire setup now with the CE28's I believe...What do you mean by this setup will look funny???

255 in the front will definitely give more grip for steering into and out of turns when matched with 275, basically eliminated some of the understeer and balancing out the car.

Opt 1 might be my next setup too.

btw, "looking funny" might apply to some stretching in the rear and flushed in the front. I might be wrong tho.

Haha, old thread, but I still haven't decided my next setup. Getting rid of understeer would definately be accomplished by option 1 since there is less stagger, however, I don't really have issues since I don't push my car to the limits. But as fahrenheit350 stated, the 255/275 may look funny since the front will be perfectly fitted, whereas the rear will still look stretched (I would rather have it the other way).

Right now I'm leaning towards option 2 since I know the 255 looks fine, and the 285/35 doesn't seem too chunky (as seen from these pictures):

My other option would be going with 255/35 and 295/30. The 295/30 is actually a better fit and keeps the correct tire height on the rear...

I was thinking of going with BhashaZ Opt 2 but after the pix he just posted, the rear tires make the rim look smaller than it really is (it does to me anyway). Anyone have pix on Opt 3, I was wondering if the BFG have the same or similar look?

here's my 255/285 setup. on stock height and looks pretty good. the wider tires give me a bigger profile and protect the rims better. Running 8.5 in front and 9.5 in back.

Option 3 is still okay I think. It would look less stretched than option 1 since the BFG will run wider than the Toyo (less stretch on the 275). However, I think with a +19 offset on the front, a 255/35 BFG will be difficult to fit without rubbing.
