Default OFFSETS, questions for experts....pics

I am thinking about getting the iForged Aero wheel, BUT I need to decided what offsets to get.

I want my car to look like this, as far as how they sit in the wheel well and how far out they go. They are Racing Harts CR f 19X8.5 and r 19X9.5 offsets are +17mm F+R. I am getting 8" fronts and 10" rears (this is the ONLY combo iForged makes in 2 piece, that is why I am getting them). When I use the offset calulator, I get +11mm (front) and +23 (rear). I know that he has NO problems rubbing and is even planning to lower the car.

VINCE says that that offset seems too small (out too far) (and I don't really know why??, but says that the decision is UP to me, I just don't want to get wheels that sit out too far or to far in, the above look it what I want).

so as Vince scares me on what to do, I do more research, and this is what I come up with, these look pretty good, on how they sit on the car, they are Volk TE37 in 8.5 and 9.5 with +22mm offsets sit pretty good as well. Using the offset calulator, I come up with that translating to +16mm F and +28mm. But it seems that Vince may think that is too little too (I am not sure, b/c I am NOT sure if he got my last e-mail to respond to and if he was only referring to the above measurements or these).

the next step in would be skidazzles car at 8.5 and 9.5 with +27 and +24 (f+r). I would like mine to sit OUT a little further, but here is a pic.

the reason I am soooooooo nervous, is b/c I don't want to screw it up, I am VERY particular about wheels and how they sit on the car.

Do ALL wheel MANUFACTORS use the same way to measure offsets??

here is an iForged example that seem still sit a tiny to much in (for my taste), they are 8.5 and 10 and +29mm-f, and +32mm-r, which equates to a +23mm-F and +32mm-r.

I guess in a sense we are ONLY talking about millimeters and maybe that is why we don't see a HUGE different in look with big differences in offset #'s???

please do NOT make this a thread of why i SHOULDN'T get the offsets because they are NOT stock, I know all about that arguement, etc...keep it to how they LOOK on the car and risk of rubbing the body.

why would I be so WARNED about not preferring the #1 or even #2 cars, when they clearly don't RUB?????

as of right now, VINCE recommends going f-8" +20mm and r-10" +28mm. WHICH is very very similat to Skidazzles BLUE car in the above pics.

I have the same setup as skidazzle and I was wondering if you were at all worried about throwing rocks, etc up the side of your fender? This is the reason that I didn't want to be too agressive with my tire size. Just ask someone that has driven over any type of loose asphalt. It sounds like you are throwing rocks for the next two miles.

So you will only drive it six miles a day for the life of the car over nothing that even resemblems loose gravel? I baby the hell out of my car but it still goes over loose gravel and extended road trips. Not trying to be an *** just making a point. Outside the fender looks bad *** but could be a problem.

Looking at the car from the *** end hell yeah they look mean. 275s in the back are tight. Very agressive now granted what you are saying as far as getting out side the fender well would be awsome I just think that the amount of rubber you would have to put down would cost you a fortune and the road noise would be emmense not to mention the damage the body might take. Believe me I know what you are looking for and if you can pull it off and be happy with it then you will have quite an accomplishment. Just trying to give some feedback

thanks for the info and the shots, it sure is something to think about.

btw, you need to give us a little side shot as well, to see how the car looks with the GT-C

I am NOT trying to scare you, I just think that offset is too aggressive and looks like there will be rubbing issues down the road. Again all customers can choose whatever offset they want, I just try to be on the safe side, and try to prevent all rubbing issues.

Vince, I know, you didn't "scare" me, I just want to MAKE sure I do it right the 1st time, these aren't items that one can just take back to Wal-Mart if I don't lke them

From what you've stated and the concerns of Vince, I think this would be the best set-up to run for both appearance and functionality.
