Thats what i have mounted. This size will protect the rim edge better and falls in the width requirements for a 285 tire (I believe 9.5-10.5 wide are approved).

its gonna look kinda tall and "buldgy" but will fit with no issues but depending on the offset, it might rub.

Anything larger than a 285 will look tall and bulgy but a 285/35 on a 9.5" wont. Not sure if it was an 18 tho, that might produce a larger buldgey looking tire, but not a 19. FWIW

i have no idea how people are putting 245's on a 19x9.5 rim. i thought i was playing it safe by upgrading to 255's, but im still not happy with the look. it looks way too stretched ill be going up to 275's next time around.

Its because a lot of people are ignorant. Look at it this way, everyone wants light weight rims, forged this, racing that. But, what they over look is their size. Most people get 10.5, 11's and even 11.5's but you know what, you cant fit a tire big enough for that rim to get the maximum grip on your car. I have 8.5 front with a 255/35 and a 9.5 rear with a 285/35. My rims a light, because its nearly the optimal size for the tire you want to run. IMO 9front 10 rear is ideal, eventhough my tires sizes work it would be nice to have that half inch just to make sure.
